It is a quote from of all things, a Jimmy Hendrix song. It was meant to imply that they talk to him in a racist manner, that they do not respect him because he is a black man. At least that is what it meant in the Hendrix song, and somehow I think Obama knew that when he said it.

Just yet another Race card play by Obama, Implying all Republicans speak down to him simply because he is black, that his corrosive policies have nothing to do with the massive turn against him in the polls.

Basically the Left would have us believe that even though 53% of voters, Black and white voted him in, the 60 to 70% of Americans that oppose many of his agenda items, and actions are Racist.

Makes no sense at all, but that is their argument.

The massive turn against him in this country is about Buyers remorse not race.

Its a figure of speech, no he never said it. What people mean when they say that is that His supports implied he had all the answers and all we had to do was elect him and he would fix everything.

I watched the entire speech as well. I would call it 70% crying and blaming the republicans. 20% on a terrible idea that will do little to help out current economic situation (50 Billion in new infrastructure spending) and 10% on a good Idea. (Tax Breaks for businesses.)

We will never know Because the Dems are sure to attach it to the 50 Billion in Infrastructure spending, and I know the republicans are opposed to that.

You want to know, Call the Dems and ask them to put it in a bill all it's own, and then we will see.

In that case I would bet a lot of cash that the republicans will support it, but like I said we will never know because the Dems will do exactly what they did with the last attempt at doing something like this, and what they did with the Unemployment extension.

They will attach it to a larger bill that forces the republicans to say YES or NO to it all.

I agree with you actually, but you have to understand that the American People are fed up with the spending. It is extremely unpopular and the republicans know it.

Besides just how much Compromising have the Dems been doing for the last 20 Months?

Why did we have to wait 2 months for Unemployment to be extended, when all the Dems had to do was take 30 Billion from the remaining stimulus funds to pay for it, and it would have passed?

Compromise is 2 way street. If it is not happening ever it is the fault of BOTH SIDES.
