There's that secession crap again

Sucession? I've heard worse ideas. Anything that frees us from the tyranny in D.C. is a potentially good thing if reverts back to true americanism. Unfortunately, no one state can succede on it's own. Tennessee is one of only 2 former confederate states that are land locked. I suspect it wouldn't work out too well for them having international borders on all sides and no sea ports.
 
Demanding elected representation is a legitimate reason to become a traitor against a repressive monarch. On the flip side, when every citizen enjoys the benefits of full representation and you try to secede you're attempting to destroy both democracy and the constitutional rights of the citizens in your state. That's not justifiable.

I hate to break it to you, but there's a couple hundred million of us. Apparently, most people seem to at least somewhat agree with their elected official - otherwise they wouldn't get elected.

Hey, democracy's a bitch. The party I detest has a stranglehold on my state's government. I hate most everything they do but I'm not about commit treason over it.

I agree. Democracy is a bitch. So did the Founders. That's why they established a Republic. That's why I want us to return to the Republic they Established. How can i commit to a treason for supporting the following fundamental principlpe this nation was founded on?

A Republic must be taken down from within, the powers that be lull the people to sleep with a hand out and free programs, just like a parent would do with a baby, give it a bottom of milk hum a pretty lullaby and ever so lightly rock it back to sleep when it starts to make a little noise... Our rights and being represented have slowly slipped away since Woodrow Wilson. They must do it in baby steps.

Of course we're America.
And the government is despotic when it lies to the people, when it ignores the will of the people, when it intrudes upon the lives of the people, and when it suppresses the people.

We're about an eighth of an inch from that. People are waiting to see if the elections run smoothly and legally when it comes time to change the guard. If they don't, that will be when people determine whether or not it's time to overthrow the current assholes.

It is not unexpected

Southern states always threaten secession whenever it appears black Americans are gaining more power

They did it in the Civil War, they did it during Civil Rights and now they are doing it when we have a black President

I'm sure it is just an odd coincidence when they choose to exercise States Rights
