In Virginia it is the same way, you can only get liquor in ABC stores and they close early.

That's insane. I can't imagine having to go through that many restrictions or gouging just to buy a bottle of Myers.

There's a world of difference between the pot buzz and the booze buzz.

You get yourself some good weed, and with couple of hits you're good for a couple of hours.

With booze, by the time you get to feeling good, you've already drank too much and in a short time you're going to be feeling like crap.

I discovered that going through life in a haze is just stupid. I outgrew my need for booze many years ago and unless you live at bars, it is easy to give up too.

I've lost a few friends because of alcohol related incidents, either by suicide or car accidents. I also have a friend who is in a nursing home at the ripe age of 45 due to a "wet brain" when he went over the edge and drank himself into way beyond oblivion after his wife divorced him because of his drinking.
Alcohol destroys lives, it's the simple.
The biggest foe of making pot legal is the alcohol industry, they spends tons of money to keep pot illegal,,I wonder why?

I'm not advocating prohibition of booze, just the legalization of pot. Maybe then, alcohol consumption would go down and that'd be a good thing.

Well I don't know if most people who drink beer are suicidal but than again people who eat fast food alot are also putting their lives in jeapordy right? what about people who drive to work? car accidents cause alot of deaths as well.
