There's no "war on women" going on in the U.S.

The war on women, as well as children, has been going on in earnest since PP got a foothold.

mmmmm-kay?

Thanks in advance, partisans.

It's a figure of speech.

Yea, no shit - and it doesn't apply.

The collective sum total of Republican positions and initiatives that adversely, disproportionately affect women can certainly be figuratively labeled a 'war on women',

if you are willing to accept the broader general fact that such terminology falls within the norms for the current style and nature of political rhetoric in the public arena.

Then again if you're taking on that windmill, so to speak, well, good luck with that.

I'll give the 2 parties credit though, how casually they toss around the word war has probably had an impact on why americans don't take actual wars very seriously. We've been desensitized to the word.

This whole war on women crap was started by the left when Limbaugh called Fluke a slut for demanding free birth control. The left jumped on and claimed that nasty Republicans wanted to deny women contraceptives. Of course, the way to deny a liberal something is by refusing to hand it to them for free. Never mind it's legal and cheap to purchase birth control, they haven't figured that out yet.

It was actually a war on religious organizations, specifically Christians, launched by the left. They are the ones, with help from activist Fluke, who wanted to force religions to go against their beliefs and make them provide coverage for birth control and abortion. Fluke deliberately went to that college with the intent on causing trouble, and she admitted as much. I don't see them forcing Muslim workers to handle pork.

Love it! Fluke claimed that she spent $3,000 on birth control during her years at school. After some calculating, you realize that it would have cost about $249 for birth control pills at Walmart or other discount drug store. The remainder would go for condoms, which if bought in bulk would be dirt cheap. An expert researched costs and did the math. Fluke would have had to have sex 7 times daily to spend that much on birth control. Now, no man I know can perform that many times in a day. Even two men couldn't keep up. So, must have been 4 or 5??? And she wanted someone else to provide that birth control, so was Rush supposed to call her "virtuous?"
