There's an enemy in America

The Ninth United States Congress was a meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, consisting of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. It met in Washington, D.C. from March 4, 1805 to March 4, 1807, during the fifth and sixth years of Thomas Jefferson's presidency. The apportionment of seats in the House of Representatives was based on the Second Census of the United States in 1800. Both chambers had a Democratic-Republican majority.

bigrebnc is a liberal? Who knew?

uh, Brutus, you wing nut, look at me. In the eyes, wing nut. The Democratic-Republican Party supported slavery, the right to own slaves. No, they were not exactly the Republican Party today, you Hard Right frothing wild-eyed wing nut.

Who's talking about slavery, liberal ?????????????????????????????

If you claim the GOP today is the party of Jefferson, then slavery is part of the deal, huh? In fact, the GOP was organized in 1754, and the Democractic-Republican Party split into two wings with the failure of the federalists: the National Republicans and the Democratic Republicans. The NR became Whigs, and the DR became Democrats. The GOP formed out of former Whigs, Know Nothings, bruti, and disillusioned Democrats.

Reactionaries and libertarians pretending to be conservatives are the victims of a vicious mental illness, and if caught early may be reversed. Hower, allowed to run its course you have examples like Brutus, House, and others here.

Sometimes therapy must be violent as has that undergone by bigrebnc. We will watch to see if he recovers from this illness or if he relapses.

Martin Van Buren began showing the qualities that would eventually take him to the pinnacle of American politics—and earn him a bevy of admirers as well as critics. Unfailingly polite and thoroughly shrewd, Van Buren proved an adept politician, negotiating the fractious political environment of New York state's Democratic-Republican party. As a New York politician, he set about building a political organization of his fellow Democratic-Republicans that stressed unity, loyalty, and fealty to Jeffersonian political principles. Gradually, Van Buren moved from the New York State Senate, to the New York attorney general's office, and then to the U.S. Senate. Unhappy with the politics and policies of President John Quincy Adams, Van Buren aligned himself instead with Andrew Jackson, the immensely popular war hero who wanted a return to the Jeffersonian policies of minimalist government. In Washington, he continued his political party-building efforts, but on a national scale.

Well let's see, three GOP presidents, Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II, including interest racked up 12 trillion of that debt, and all the other presidents in the history of the country ran up the rest. So obviously, by your logic, the GOP are trying to bring the country down.
your left wing communist president has made them all look like stingy hermits compared to what he has spent !!! Bush spent billions fighting terrorist ...Obama flushed Trillions down the toilet !!

You mean.......Jr. spent billions fighting an unjust war for oil, while letting the terrorist responsible for 9/11 stay free.

Jr. has flushed more down the toilet with bailouts, tax cuts for the wealthy and an unjust war than Obama ever will.
where is the oil then ???last I checked we haven't confiscated any oil from Iraq !!! and the Bush bail out was 700billion weather you agree with it or not was to try to prevent a collapse not take over the banking , auto or construction industry !!! Where the hell is the trillions Obama has spent !!!

You're learning that liberals are writing the history of America to make it look like they belong at the Founding when in reality their socialist big government philosophy puts them in Cuba not in America.

Now you know why the liberals spied for Stalin

Do you actually believe the idiocy you post?

I have to believe not, for your sake.

1) The Bush bailout was called TARP- it saved the world from depression and the banks bailed out paid back the money

2) the BO bailout was called stimulus ($787 billion) it has deepened and prolonged the great recession we are in now.

3) B0's debt will be greater than all other American presidents combined

of course if there was "idiocy" the liberal would not be so afraid to point out exactly where it is, would he?

We have to stop big government liberals like Brutus and Bigrebnc from perverting American values and American youth!

To the barricades!!

If you have a speech, newspaper article, letter, or Congressional Record using the term Democratic Republican in the 1790'sI'll pay you $10,000. Bet or run away with your liberal tail between your legs!

Also, Jefferson's Republican Party is identical to the modern Republican Party in that it too was 100% about limited government. Welcome to your first lesson in American History!! This is a huge huge day for you, liberal.

The Jeffersonian Republican party, better known as the Democratic-Republican Party, is an ancestor of the modern DEMOCRATIC PARTY. It evolved in the 1790s during the early days of GEORGE WASHINGTON's presidency.

Oh, and reading liberal history won't help you unless you want to lose the bet? You see,
the liberals want to cover up that Jefferson and America are about freedom while liberals are anti-American. Now you know why the liberals spied for Stalin.

And they are the same assholes who deny we were ever in a recession during the Bush disaster, so only a CON$ervative would be stupid enough to think they were credible. Remember the Bush Depression began in Dec 2007, and the pathological liars on the Right knew it then and proved they knew it when they refused to put money behind their claim that there was no Bush Depression.

Also pay attention to what the :asshole: says about debt and deficits while Bush was running up the debt!!! :eusa_liar:

Also pay attention to the rationalization the :asshole: gave for refusing the bet he knew he would lose. Only days before he had no problem with federal gambling laws!!!:lmao:

CALLER: I was hoping that I might make a wager with you and, to be fair, it was based on income. So I'm saying that the economy is going to have a major recession to a depression, within the next two to three years -- and I base that belief on the housing market. A case where people are tapped out with equity; they've been living the good life, and now that spigot is shut off. Now they're going to credit cards and they're showing through the roof on defaults. I think it's just a matter of time before this house of cards collapses. What do you thinks? [sic]

RUSH: Nope. I don't think it's going to happen. I've been hearing things like this my whole life. I've been hearing the national debt is going to wipe us out. I've been hearing the annual deficit is going to wipe us out. I've been hearing the credit card debt and that people are not saving enough money, is going to wipe us out. I keep hearing that Social Security is going to wipe us out in 50 years unless we reform it. I think that the country is built on far more than a house of cards, and I wouldn't enter into a wager like this publicly because I choose not too violate federal gambling laws.

RUSH: By the way, I want to renew a bet. I will bet my life's fortune against Algore's that what he predicts in 2030 will not happen...
I made this offer six months ago, and I'll make it again in future days

RUSH: (laughs) But what were you willingly to put on the line for this?

CALLER: I was going to put my $500.

RUSH: Five hundred dollars. Well, look, if you're right, you can't afford to lose $500.

CALLER: Well, I think that's so, but I think the money I'd win from you would be well worth it.

RUSH: Do you think a president can stop the slide that's imminent?

CALLER: No, Rush, and I think the housing market this time is something like the country's never seen. It has never soared so high in the history, since they started keeping numbers. They can't compare it to any time in history except Japan, where it happened in 1984, and theirs is still coming down.

RUSH: Well, I'm amazed that people can take the news on a day like this. See, I think you're being helped along by the context and the attitude in which all of this is reported: the doom and gloom. For example, you make it sound like everybody who owns a house is going to go bust, because they're going to lose their equity in it, then they're going to turn to credit cards and they're going to get cut off from those and then they're going to be up a creek. Ninety-four percent of mortgage holders are making payments on time: 94%. Now, that might be better if it were 98, but the point is it's not 50. It's not 60. It's 94%. So the roots of the so-called housing crisis, I don't think they're deep, and certainly it's not as bad as it's being portrayed.
