There is only one race - THE HUMAN RACE.

people are people

Now let's all sing Kumba-yo

And pretend that the racial differences in average IQ don't exist and it's just coincidence that Kenyan's dominate Olympic Running and the NBA and NFL are disproportionately dominated by black athletes...

""many people who believe in Evolution somehow don't think that mankind was also shaped by evolutionary forces due to different surroundings.""

the surroundings make a difference, but that doesnt alter the fact that we are all human.

if you change from a sedentary office job to an active physical job it will change your musculature. but it will not alter the fact that you are a human being.

It seems obvious that you don't understand evolution. Having children to pass down your genetic stock is the only way to win at the game of Life. Harsh northern climates weeded out individuals that weren't smart enough to think ahead and survive the winters. Less children but more parental investment turned out to be the optimal strategy. Warm Africa did not select for intelligence in the same way, and more children with less parental investment was the optimal strategy.

This is a wildly simplistic explanation but sufficient to get the basic idea across.

Hopefully you can see that your example of changing jobs and musculature means nothing to evolution unless it means more progeny via genetics, or genetically influenced culture.

We are All Related.  ;)

Deal with it.

We are All Unique.

There is a measure of Value in Each of Us.

Remember God only made one woman and one man.
so if you believe in God....

imho a racist Christian is not a christian at all.

If You subscribe to the Bible, We are also related through the survivors of Noah and the Ark.

All humans are incredibly alike. only 0.2% genetic differences. (in the average zebra herd there is @ a 25% difference).

"Did you know all human beings are 99.8% the same?
Human genetics is an area of science and medicine that describes how traits are inherited (passed down from one family member to another). The human genome is the complete set of coded instructions that are needed to make a person. These instructions are encoded in deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). Our DNA is coiled into structures called chromosomes. Sections of DNA along each chromosome are referred to as genes. Each gene codes for one specific instruction to help our bodies to grow and develop."

celebrate our common humanity & viva le difference!

It's funny how people who make this statement invariably turn out to be vocal supporters of affirmative action. Do you not see a contradiction there?

""In other words, race is real.""

no it means that human beings are different. one person may like baseball another, loathe it but like opera. and they may be brothers.

it has nothing to do with geography. we are all human and have way more in common with each other than any other species on the planet.

So if we're all so cozy genetically, then why do why kill each other?

Boooo!

I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of murders in America and the world are not interracial.

People don't get along with people with or without the complications of race.

"Did you know all human beings are 99.8% the same?

Add chimpanzees, and it goes to 98 percent.

What that demonstrates is that very tiny genetic differences make a WORLD of difference in terms of behavior, intelligence, appearance.

In other words, race is real. Race matters. And races live best amongst themselves, not forcibly mixed in a government stew of hatred and dischord.

Let's leave Bass52 out of this.

It has a lot to do with geography. That is the locus of evolutionary honing of genetic similarity.

Read Cavalli-Sforza.

Oh, wait. You're never going to do that.

the odd part is that many people who believe in Evolution somehow don't think that mankind was also shaped by evolutionary forces due to different surroundings.

Indeed!

As Steve Sailer puts it, "being a liberal means believing in evolution -- except that it stopped on a dime 50 thousand years ago."

Something tells me this quip will fly right over the heads of the racial equality fundamentalists.

yup, being liberal means holding two or more mutually exclusive ideas in your head at the same time. must cause some wicked headaches

LOL! It's the same old stupid saying "we're all created equal" But, too bad not in IQ nor our Genes. Did you know Liberals have their own gene? So, how can we be created equally? That's all a Liberal lie!
