1. "OBAMA: Open up your hearts and your minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell."
Obama Harvard Tapes Exposed on Hannity - President Obama - Fox Nation

2. Either our Obama-supporting colleagues don't know or don't care that Derrick Bell is the David Duke of the Left.

3. Cultural adaptations predate, and are the basis for society. It is through the understanding of our culture that one is able to predict the operation of the social environment. Stability requires the equal application of same.

a. Harvard law professorships required a) graduation with distinction from a prominent college, b) clerking for the Supreme Court, c) work for a major law firm. Derrick Bell was given a professorship although he had none of these qualifications.

4. The rally that Obama conducted was to support Bell's non-negotiable demand that "Harvard should grant lifetime tenured status to a visiting professor from the University of Pennsylvania named Regina Austin.Ms. Austin also had controversial views on race, according to an April 1990 article from the New York Times:
''The problem is, you can't tell the truth around here anymore without being accused of being a racist,'' said (one student), who said he had been a student in the class on torts taught by Professor Austin. He said she had shown favoritism toward minority students and women and had an unconventional approach to teaching. ''She's teaching more sociology than law,'' said (the student)..
Who Is Regina Austin?

5. Obama described Bell as a man known for “speaking the truth”....here is some of it:

a. Derrick Bell endorsed "Race Traitor," a controversial magazine whose official motto is “treason to whiteness is loyalty to humanity.”

b. “Black people will never gain full equality in this country. … African Americans must confront and conquer the otherwise deadening reality of our permanent subordinate status.”

c. Bell's characterizaton of Clarence Thomas during the same year that Obama embraced Bell: “”To place a person who looks black and who, in conservative terms, thinks white, is an insult.”

d. Bell's response to the nomination of Thomas to the Supreme Court: “To place a person who looks black and who, in conservative terms, thinks white, is an insult.”

e. He signed on to Race Traitor’s article entitled, “Renew the legacy of John Brown,” calling for John Brown Day to be declared in the U.S. in 1999.The article signed by Bell began:
“If the task of the nineteenth century was to overthrow slavery, and the task of the twentieth century was to end legal segregation, the key to solving this country’s problems in the twenty-first century is to abolish the white race as a social category – in other words, eradicate white supremacy entirely.”

"Open up your hearts and your minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell."

Derrick Bell was an idiot, and on the same level as David Duke and Louis Farrakhan.

That doesn't make it any less silly to damn Obama for hugging him.

Using that same idea, you could "damn" more than half the sitting Senators for hugging Strom Thurmond or Robert Byrd at some point in time.

Another piece of what hardly seems a puzzle.....

"For much of his life, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. carried around something peculiar…an old clipping of a quote from Harlem preacher Reverend Samuel D. Proctor. Holder put the clipping in his wallet in 1971, when he was studying history at Columbia University, and kept it in wallet after wallet over the ensuing decades. What were Proctor’s words that Holder found so compelling? “Blackness is another issue entirely apart from class in America. No matter how affluent, educated and mobile [a black person] becomes, his race defines him more particularly than anything else.”…When asked to explain the passage, Holder replied, “It really says that… I am not the tall U.S. attorney, I am not the thin United States Attorney. I am the black United States attorney. And he was saying that no matter how successful you are, there’s a common cause that bonds the black United States attorney with the black criminal or the black doctor with the black homeless person.”…It may seem shocking to hear these racialist views ascribed to America’s top law enforcement officer. But to people who have worked inside the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice, these attitudes are perfectly familiar."

DOJ Whistleblower J. Christian Adams Releases New Book | Video | TheBlaze.com

a. “Has anyone asked Holder what exactly is the “common cause” that binds the black attorney general and the black criminal? More important, what should the black attorney general do about this common cause? Should the black criminal feel empathy for the black attorney general or more likely, do the favors only flow in one direction?

Holder’s explanation of Proctor’s quote offers some key insights into our attorney generals’ worldview. First, being “more particular” than anything else, skin color limits and defines Americans- in other words, race comes first for Holder. Second, despite Americans’ widespread belief in trans-racial principles such as individual liberty and equal protection, blacks are expected to show solidarity with other blacks. And third, black law enforcement officers are expected to show this solidarity toward their racial compatriots, including black criminals.”
J. Christian Adams, “Injustice: Exposing The Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department,” p. 2.

Derrick Bell....Eric Holder....Barack Obama

Equal justice requires a color-blind America.

Can you tell me how anything Bell said fits the definition of racist? Plz dont type 10 paragraphs

Are you familiar with the terms black and white?
How about the modifier 'race'?

What that short enough to support your A.D.D.?

You forgot to tell me how anything he said was racist tho?

He wants to ban whites from holding office as I read it. He wants to ban whites from what they have earned or worked for. He thinks blacks are superior.

What violence has Derrick Bell's organization perpetrated against White people or anyone else? What about Farrakhan's organization? How is ANY OF THAT ON PAR with the organization (KKK) that David Duke once represented? How can you claim the aforementioned people to be on par with the KKK war like scumbags?

Hardly.

But, if that is the most apposite response you can come up with, it would certainly be less than efficacious to try to help you...

It is always amusing when someone like you brags of their own lack of understanding, and, in your ineptitude, wave it like some sort of majestic frond!

Are you going to provide a rationale for calling him racist or not? I mean, you said it.

No he wasn't.

He wasn't a racist either. And his name doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as Farrakhan or Duke.

The right's villification of Black intellectuals is disgusting.

But when the left does it, you all but piss yourself with joy, right?

Oh wait, no one can be an 'intellectual' if they are not on the left....isn't that the doctrine?

You must go through eyeware like Moe Green....but clean off your specs and read the thread.
And stop acting like a fool.

Not acting?

OMG.

Can't you read???
Where others see intentions, you see only skin color....

Oh, almost forgot.....without the mandatory chest beating about how great a friend you are to blacks, you might lose your Liberal-street-cred.

Carry on.

Too bad you couldn't get the 'eyeglass' scene!

I read fine.

Pointing out this country's history in regards to the treatment of Black people is not racism.

Silly.

Here are the rules people:

If you are a White conservative and make any controversial statement about race- you are a racist. That's it. No debate, no defense.

If you are a Black conservative and make any controversial statement about race: - you are an "uncle tom" or a "sell out".

If you are a White liberal and make any controversial statement about race- you didn't mean it that way- you misspoke. It was as mistake. You get a free pass, excused.

If you are a Black liberal and make any controversial statement about race: - you are an "intellectual".

I hope that clears things up!
