But that is a protected belief and identity that cannot be infringed upon by discrimination either.

That is how LGBT beliefs should be treated, as any other faith based identity, affiliation, expression or practice.

Christianity doesn't require proving it is true "scientifically", or proving it is genetically determined.

Why should LGBT require any such proof in order for people to practice and express their beliefs?

It is enough to claim belief in something to have such people defended from discrimination on the grounds of their faith based beliefs.

We'd do better to treat LGBT, Christianity, Constitutionalism, socialism, even global warming beliefs as CREEDS and not punish, deny, discriminate, exclude or violate anyone's beliefs, but consistently refrain from abusing govt to either "establish or prohibit" individual choice of CREED.

Don't establish any such beliefs through Govt, and nobody will seek to deny your free exercise and expression.

But if people continue to push to establish their beliefs while disparaging the equal rights and beliefs of others, that's where these fights are coming from to defend people against such violations. So let's call a truce, and agree to quit abusing politics to push political beliefs into govt at the expense of the equal free choice of others not to have their rights infringed upon or disparaged.
