Problem of gun lovers...they didn't see how tons of countries d ont have this madness due to gun ban.

Migrant gangs in london have taken to throwing acid in faces since guns and knives are less available. I think I'd rather be stabbed.

Yes, the answer of course is for everybody to carry containers of acid so they can defend themselves.

The government in the UK actually wants to ban everybody from carrying acid, if they do that only the criminals will have acid!

Of course the ideal end state here is for the Police and the public to all conceal carry buckets of acid so the law abiding can throw acid over the criminals, who will also obviously be carrying acid.

I mean sure it's going to be bit messy with all the splatter over the innocent bystanders but given that there is no other conceivable way to stop a totalitarian government from one day seizing power and banning tea what else can the Brits do? It's not like being a stable democracy is going to stop the government shoving us all into cattle trucks one day soon.

And besides acid is not the real problem, if the UK was just a 100% white there would be no issue at all as we sloshed our acid buckets around town. In really-small-country- with no-social problems- and wage equality-land they all have acid and nobody ever gets sloshed.

Explain how the Democratic Party is going to make their Nazi Gun Ban wet dream come true?
How are they going to get the Democrat Criminals and Democrat Terrorist to turn in their guns?

What demographic criteria is being used? What I mean is, how many of the shootings that comprise the list were gang related or were the result of another crime being committed?

Believe it or not, from the left wing Mother Jones they have developed criteria that keeps the scope of mass murder narrow as it should be. This is how wildly inacurate numbers show up when the anti gunners want to skewer statistics. Great article. It shows that they've changed the definition of a mass shooting.

"What explains the vastly different count? The answer is that there is no official definition for “mass shooting.”

Almost all of the gun crimes behind the much larger statistic are less lethal and bear little relevance to the type of public mass murder we have just witnessed again.

Including them in the same breath suggests that a 1 a.m. gang fight in a Sacramento restaurant, in which two were killed and two injured, is the same kind of event as a deranged man walking into a community college classroom and massacring nine and injuring nine others.

Or that a late-night shooting on a street in Savannah, Ga., yesterday that injured three and killed one is in the same category as the madness that just played out in Southern California."

Its bullshit. Just like the OP>

Wrong......the Gun Violence Archive does not list mass public shootings...they are lying.....to get to that number they list every shooting between every gang member over dice games, girlfreinds and insults on facebook....if you want the actual list of mass public shootings, as per the FBI definition which does not include criminal activity...you need this list....and from this list you get 6 mass public shootings last year....

WOW!!! So the majority of mass shootings apparently never get reported. I wonder why?

thanks , plus i think that rifles are banned in France but i think their death toll by rifles and guns is over that number . Think that the French ' WIN ' as they had 139 deaths at a 'little girl' music concert of some type didn't they Sytfe
What's the murder rate in France?

Lower than here....because while their criminals get fully automatic rifles easily...they are a status symbol to French Criminals, they don't use them to commit murder....so your point is meaningless...since American criminals simply commit the act of murder more easily, though French criminals have easy access to guns....

How easy?
French gunman's arsenal spotlights illegal arms trade

As France asks itself whether it could have done more to prevent Islamist gunman Mohamed Merah shooting dead seven people in a killing spree that shook the nation, there is one question that refuses to go away: how did he obtain so many guns.

The size and nature of the arsenal amassed by Merah - who stockpiled at least eight guns including a Kalashnikov assault rifle and an Uzi machine pistol - has focused attention on the easy availability of illegal weapons in France and their growing use in ultra-violent crimes.

As an angry online reader of the daily Le Figaro newspaper put it: "How was he able to buy all these guns, like one buys yoghurts, when he was under the surveillance of the DCRI (the French intelligence agency)?"

Paris attacks highlight France's gun control problems

But in recent years a black market has proliferated. The number of illegal weapons has risen at a rapid rate – double-digit percentages – for several years, according to the National Observatory for Delinquency, a body created in 2003.

“In Marseille and the surrounding area almost all the score settling is carried out using weapons used in wars,” a police spokesman told Reuters after the Toulouse attacks, adding that Kalashnikovs were the weapon of choice: “If you don’t have a ‘Kalash’ you’re a bit of a loser.”

Paris attacks highlight France's gun control problems

The arsenal of weapons deployed by the eight attackers who terrorised Paris on Friday night underlined France’s gun control problems and raised the spectre of further attacks.

The country has extremely strict weapons laws, but Europe’s open borders and growing trade in illegal weapons means assault rifles are relatively easy to come by on the black market.

-------------=================

France’s real gun problem

Despite these strict laws, France seems to be awash with guns.

The guns used in high-profile terror attacks are really just the tip of the iceberg. In 2012, French authorities estimated that there were around 30,000 guns illegally in the country, many likely used by gangs for criminal activities. Of those guns, around 4,000 were likely to be "war weapons," Le Figaro reported, referring to items such as the Kalashnikov AK-variant rifles and Uzis. Statistics from the National Observatory for Delinquency, a government body created in 2003, suggest that the number of guns in France has grown by double digits every year.
----------------------
How Europe's Terrorists Get Their Guns

France became particularly worried about the trafficking of illegal guns in 2012, increasing fines and jail terms for those involved in the trafficking and possession of them. Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said in Septemberthat police have seized nearly 6,000 weapons from criminal groups each year since 2013, 1,200 of which were military assault weapons. And in the three weeks following the Nov. 13 attacks, Cazeneuve said French police seized 334 weapons, 34 of them military-grade.

Several officials and experts tell TIME they’ve seen a noticeable climb in both the numbers and the types of illicit weapons crossing borders over the past few years. Rather than pistols and small guns, there has been a spike in demand for military-grade assault weapons. This reflects a very different kind of criminality: petty criminals and drug dealers tend to want small pistols that they can conceal; terrorists want AK-47s that can do maximum damage.

“For something like the Paris attacks, you don’t need hundreds of thousands of weapons. You just need enough to create havoc,” says Zverzhanovski. “The gun market operates on a very basic supply and demand system. Since about 2011, there has definitely been a significant increase of illicit weapons going from southeast Europe towards different parts of the E.U.” Crucially, it’s not truckloads or planeloads of weapons coming in. It’s much more a case of “micro-trafficking”—a few pieces being brought in by individuals—making it much more difficult to track.
