While that may mean softening some of their positions, it doesn't mean they need to abandon them completely. We need a more conservative fiscally responsible party to keep the more progressive Democratic Party in check, just as we need the more progressive Democratic Party to keep the far right in check. Complete one sided government would not be good for the US, whether it be Republican or Democrat.

Do you ever listen to what you say or read what you write? You say the easy explanation for liberals is to give them something, but I can say the conservatives are exactly the same, but rather than giving them shit, they just want more tax cuts. Everyone loves a tax cut and most will accept it with open arms, even when they know that in order to pay for it, we need to borrow the money.

As I have said for a long time, we have two problems; we spend too much and we don't take in enough revenue. It's not a one or the other problem with a single solution as the right claims.

Democrats take a good long look at the popular vote and take a good look at some of the senate race and how close those were....When mid-term comes round, Obama has plenty to worry about.

Meanwhile, the Republican house has to do their job by squashing certain sections of Obamacare still trying to be ironed out. They were put in their seat to work for their people.

The Republican house has to stand firm and not let any more social issues or agendas get through.

When the mid term elections are over, Obama will be a lame duck President. Will it really matter?
