The WikiLeaks Vindication of George W. Bush

WikiLeaks' newly-released Iraq war documents reveal that for years afterward, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specialists in toxins and uncover weapons of mass destruction (emphasis added).[...]
I'll start this response with a very basic question:

If Saddam Hussein did in fact have the "weapons of mass destruction" referred to above, why did he not deploy them against our invading army? Do you think it's because he didn't want to make us mad at him? Or do you think it's because reports like the one posted above are all bullshit planted by the Bush Administration?

The most serious weapons the Iraqis were and have been able to effectively deploy against us were tons of their own artillery shells, many of which our military commanders were too stupid to destroy when they came upon them. Those (155mm) shells are what the IEDs are made with.

Before we continue, please tell us specifically what is meant by the term, "weapons of mass destruction."

Yes. but none of the facilities were operable. And we did not get our intelligence from the sources that the PNAC-run Bush Administration stated. They only knew that Saddam had ever possessed WMD's, because we GAVE them to him along with the cowboy boots and pistols

Iraq got germs for weapons program from U.S. in '80s

In 2008, our military shipped out of Iraq -- on 37 flights in 3,500 barrels -- what even The Associated Press called "the last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program": 550 metric tons of the supposedly nonexistent yellowcake. The New York Sun editorialized: "The uranium issue is not a trivial one, because Iraq, sitting on vast oil reserves, has no peaceful need for nuclear power. ... To leave this nuclear material sitting around the Middle East in the hands of Saddam ... would have been too big a risk."

Oh for the love of God.....

Bottom line: the "weapons labs" found were the same "weapons labs" that were shut down after 1991 (no one is saying they were viable and working, now are they?). And the chem weapons found on the battlefield were LONG forgotten and defunct (past their potentcy) caches from the Iran/Iraq war. This was DOCUMENTED A FEW YEARS AGO. And the yellowcake being removed is what was left after the nuke plant was destroyed and shut down over a decade earlier......which had NOTHING to do with fmr. Amb. Wilson exposing the LIE of the Shrub & company regarding the Niger connection to a NEW shipment of yellowcake.

The only "vindication" of the Shrub administrations chicanery exists in the desperate minds of neocon wonks who have no trouble distorting facts and revising history.

OMG, a stupid, desperate attempt by neocons to defend the Shrub!

Was FDR supporting Stalin when he was laying waste to his population after the defeat of the Nazi's (or before)?

Nope.

Did Rummy go to Iraq with the express purpose of telling Hussein that he won't get USA support if he continued to use WMD against the Kurds?

Nope.

Did Rummy go to firm up those pipeline contracts and concessions?

Yep.

Pretty much like you just did in that post.

IF SADDAM NEVER HAD ANYTHING TO HIDE, WHY DID HE CONSTANTLY OBSTRUCT, AND REJECT U.N. WEAPONS INSPECTORS?

A question loony, dictator loving leftists like you continue to lack an answer for.

GWB IS going to be vindicated by history, damn it's already starting to happen, and the best, and most amusing part is, there aint shit you can do bout it lol.

Hey numbnuts.....Saddam was fully cooperating with the inspectors when Bush invaded.

Question: Was invading and occupying a nation the posed absolutely no threat to us or anyone else worth the lives of thousands of our military?

C'mon now....answer the question.

Lying will get you nowhere. It's common knowledge Saddam constantly obstructed U.N. inspectors, I had the headlines from that month saved. You people continue to try to blanket all the new evidence of WMDs in Iraq as all Iran war tech. with no evidence of course, I can't wait till the next headline to the related comes up, and see how yall BS yall way outta that one lol
Question: Was invading and occupying a nation the posed absolutely no threat to us or anyone else worth the lives of thousands of our military?
Considering how much he hated us, was willing to aide anyone willing to hurt us, and was a dictatorial loose cannon....Ima go with yes.

I doubt that but why don't you take it from the Weapons Inspector himself?

U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix faults Bush Administration for lack of "critical thinking" in Iraq

So I guess Hans Blix and I both are calling you a LIAR.

Sadly for Bush, the die is cast. He diverted the war on terror to engage in an unnecessary invasion of a nation that was no longer a threat. In the process he pulled valuable strength from Afghanistan and ended up involving the US in two conflicts that will last over 10 years.

Bush's poor decisions led to the deaths of over 4000 American servicement and 100,000 Iraqi civilians. His decision to ignore basic human rights including torture and denial of the right to a speedy trial will be a stain on his administration and the country that looked the other way

Throw in an economic collapse and you have the formula for worst President in US History

Nice, Berkley, good objective source lol. Everyone knows Blix was permitted in, finally, after Saddam, again kept turning away previous delegations, giving them sufficient time to hide evidence, and plan to to and not to show him.

Presidents Clinton and Bush both believed that Iraq possessed such weapons, especially when Saddam turned away UN weapons inspectors. ..

They have no reason to be ashamed of themselves as you suggest.

Freed at what cost? 100,000 deaths? He invaded a country that was not a threat and had not been a serious military force in 10 years. He upset the balance of power in the region and empowered Iran to become an unchecked power broker in the region

The recession happened seven years into Bush's term. He took a budget surplus and turned it into $5 trillion in debt. Once the economy collapsed, Bush's deer in the headlights response allowed a severe recession to almost lead to a worldwide depression

IF SADDAM NEVER HAD ANYTHING TO HIDE, WHY DID HE CONSTANTLY OBSTRUCT, AND REJECT U.N. WEAPONS INSPECTORS?

A question loony, dictator loving leftists like you continue to lack an answer for.

Once again folks, we have a willfully ignorant neocon parrot STILL stubbornly spewing long disproved Rovian lies.

Listen up and learn something, genius.....According to the UN inspector Butler, out of 300 inspections the Iraqi's gave him guff over ONE site (not outright denial). Clinton used that as an excuse to do a (another) bombing run (remember the infamous "aspirin factory" story?). Butler stated that his team left AT THE WARNING OF THE CLINTION ADMINISTRATION, not by Hussein. So naturally, no new inspections happened until Blix....WHO CONTINUALLY STATED THAT HE WAS MOSTLY HAMPERED BY NON-COMPLIANCE OF INTEL BY THE CIA to do his job. Blix, as did Butler, stated that while there were difficulties, the Iraqis were for the most part being cooperative, and that it would another YEAR to do a proper job.
But the Shrub & company had other ideas, as the historical record home.
I can back up everything I stated here with valid, documented fact.....can YOU say the same?

GWB IS going to be vindicated by history, damn it's already starting to happen, and the best, and most amusing part is, there aint shit you can do bout it lol.

As you can see folks, we're dealing with some giddy school kid who's long on neocon mantra's but short on facts.

Wake up.

50 million people were under the dictatorship of a man that the USA supported....with the materials necessary to construct WMD's.

As the chronology of the posts shows, Rummy didn't give a damn about those people when he was shaking hands with Hussein to firm up those pipeline concessions and contracts. Your heros only got righteous when Hussein decided to go to blows with Kuwait over drilling borders and an over-due loan from Kuwait for the Iran/Iraq war. Hussein actually believed Amb. Glaspie who told him the USA policy was non-interference with local border disputes. :doubt:

Clinton had established an economic SURPLUS that would have handled the dot com bubble burst....had the Shrub & company not frittered it away on an unnecessary and illegal war (whatever happened to that $8 billion Halliburton got from the gov't anyway?). And then, the Shrub & company KEPT THE ACTUAL COST OF HIS BOGUS INVASION/OCCUPATION IN IRAQ OFF THE NATIONAL LEDGER.

And his "historic" aids relief was just more Shrub smoke & mirrors...since the Congress was ALREADY funding at the Shrub's proposed level, and that the Shrub was pushing for part of that funding to support the silly "abstinence only" initiative.

Yeah, you could go on....but given your appalling lack of knoweldge on the subject and your displayed neocon bias, don't bother.
