No it won't. They didn't propose anything "new". They removed some stuff, but that law would only apply to any NEW material added. Nothing new was added. This "hearing" has been open for weeks. They've been begging Democrats to come back and participate. Democrats refused. So, they simply removed the part that required Dems to be there and then voted on it.

It wasn't "new" legislation. This will hold up in court.

You lost Dems. Deal with it.

So if it IS overturned, what does it matter?

The Reps have the votes to re-schedule a hearing and push it through anyway.

I have no idea how this one will play out for a Judge (whether the meeting was lawful or not), but the end result is the same - 18-1

If the meeting is deemed unlawful, and a Dem Senator shows up, can they revert to the original form of the Bill and call the vote?

This is a technicality that must be decided by a Judge, but the outcome is the same. Collective bargaining is dead in WI until 2012 at least, and Walker may face recall mid 2011.

The immediate situation doesn't change one iota.
