You're right. Better to rely on your own brain.
The ability of CO2 and other gases to absorb infra-red radiation is scientifically well documented.
The levels of those gases, including some not found in nature, have been rising since the advent of the Industrial Revolution, according to ice-core data.
Therefore, if the trend continues, a period of warming is inevitable.
Add to that the fact that humans emit more CO2 in days than all the volcanoes on earth do in a year and it makes me wonder where some are seeing any controversy at all!!!
