Warmest June on record, climate scientists say
By NATASHA T. METZLER (AP) – 7 hours ago

WASHINGTON — Last month was the warmest June on record, extending months of record-setting heat.

Worldwide, the average temperature in June was 61.1 degrees Fahrenheit (16.2 Celsius), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Thursday. That was 1.22 degrees F (0.68 C) warmer than average for June.

This year has had the warmest average temperature for January-June on record — 57.5 F (12.2 C).

Yep the arctic is a little on the low side but the antarctic is plus a whole bunch. So the net ice anomoly is positive, go figure. We are just about where we were in 1980. Lots of ice melting there, Cox old boy!

Good God, Walleyes. A faux geologist that cannot even read a graph. Look at the right hand side of the graph. See the time that the red line is below the zero line? Note the much wider swings than in the previous years? Lordy, lordy, Walleyes, get a brain!

It's fucking 86 degrees at 10:20 pm here with about 95% humidity.

Yep and it was 93 at midnight out here, of course we don't have the humidity. I believe it's called summer. Of course I could be mistaken. It might be called a different season where you are.

:lol::lol: Clearly I can read it better than you old fraud. If you look real close you will see that the ice levels are the same as they were back in 1980. That little red line is ABOVE the zero baseline you see. When is't ABOVE the zero baseline it means that the sea ice level is positive.

Translated from science talk to normal talk that means there is more ice than what is accepted as "normal".

The hottest June on record and the hottest May on record, and the hottest year on record....so far.

Uhhhh I kind of doubt it. Regardless, the planet seems to be doing quite nicely thank you!

If these temperatures are taken and avg since 1880(130 years) then shouldn't the avg become warmer as more warmer years add into it since 1980?

We had a below the avg from 1880-1940 and again 1950-1980, but shoulnd't the last 30 years make the avg warmer. Unless they're finding a avg from many centuries or more with ice ages, grand minimums, grand maximum to find this avg wouldn't it work like this?
