If you spent $1 a second, how long would it take you to spend $1,000,000,000,000(1 Trillion Dollars)?
$1 x 60 seconds = $60 a minute.
$60 x 60 minutes = $360 an hour.
$360 x 24 hours = $8,640 a day
$8,640 x 365 = $3,153,600 a year. (That is over 3 million dollars in a year.)
$3,153,600 x 10,000 years = $31,536,000,000 10,000 years. (over 31 billion dollars but not yet 1 trillion)
Over 33,000 years it would take one person to spend 1 trillion dollars yet the government has spent 15 times that since 1963 and today, we have the most in poverty ever.

Who has been the president of the US for the past 7 years? Why are the most ever in US history in poverty?

Being a veteran I like the military, but I really like to see stuff blowed up..
WWI was not stared by a democrat, neither was WWII, Korea, sorry they attacked the USA....Nam, Eisenhower should not have intervened after the French defeat...Gulf war,Saddam started that war..
You know that many people can't join the military due to physical problems, it's a tough physical job.....

How many trillions have we spent on actual wars?
What have we gotten out of them?

The war on poverty means actually helping Americans, why would anyone object to that expenditure?

Did anyone actually believe we would reach a point where we have "won" and Americans no longer need help?

First off dumbass, if there wasn't a military we wouldn't have a country to provide for those who don't want to work(are you one of those who don't want to?). While billions are spent in military spending, the social programs that were developed by liberals spent 10-100 times that amount. All we have to show for it is $19,000,000,000,000 in debt. Most in poverty ever, 1 in 5 children going to bed hungry, 33,000 born and unborn children executed on the abortion table, lowest participation rate in education, 50% failure rate of those that do participate, inner cities on fire and....... The next president is going to inherit a mess from Obama that may take a century to fix.

Actually we can defend our shore with one tenth the military we have today. We have not seen a foreign invader in 200 years. Two huge oceans will do that

The money we spend on a military to police the world comes out of money we could spend on modern infrastructure, education, healthcare and feeding our poor

PLEASE be SPECIFIC, who would fill the vacuum?

Russia, China, Iran or North Korea?

As you know, we are now, and will forever be a WORLD ECONOMY. So please tell us how anyone else filling the vacuum is good for America and our citizens.

Lame Duck President Obama has simply shown his impotence and timidity and Russia has taken over Crimea and has tanks and combat troops in Ukraine. China is building Islands for combat troops and air bases in the contested islands in the China Sea. North Korea's people are starving and he is doing nuclear testing and launching missiles from submarines. Iran is building a nuclear weapon and the Middle East has exploded since President Obama's and Hillary Clinton's foreign policy failures.

Who would fill the vacuum

EU, S Korea, Japan

All have more social programs and more modern infrastructure because they can lean on us to defend them
