The War on Porn

I agree with him to an extent. Porn can be as, pardon the pun, 'hard on' families as drugs or violence, if it disrupts the foundation of ANY family - the mother and father units.

I agree. Ive seen alot of men get totally consumed by porn and because of that its destroyed their families and even caused them to lose their job. Pornography can be an addiction as strong as any chemical substance because it can release simialr chemical reactions in the brain.

Note to anyone who cares: I am at war with anything that significantly contributes to the break up of the family.

Family, or traditional family? (or both?)

how the homosexual agenda always slips in no matter what the topic of discussion is....TRADITIONAL OF COURSE!

Odd that this would be here today. It's the specific reason I came to the board.

I got an email today for a child porn site. I just about hurled on my keyboard when I saw it. I can handle getting adult porn spam, or those "Get Viagra from Mexico" emails, I just block them and delete them. Kiddie porn... No, I can't just let that go.

Point is, I tried to find a place to report it. Do you know how diffcult it is to report getting a child porn email? I looked everywhere, and most site wanted the site itself listed. In order to get the site address, I would have to click on the link, and there is no way I'm going to do that. The official FBI site wasn't much better. I finally found an email address, and it said I had to copy the email in a word pad document and send it that way. Well, the link was in a picture, so the link wouldn't show up in a word pad document.

I went ahead and sent it that way, but also included the email address it was sent from (a UK address). Don't know if it will do any good.

Does anybody know a place I can forward this trash?

I said nothing of the "homosexual agenda" whatsoever.

I use to have the site...can't find the address in all my junk...really have to do some fall cleanup...however you can go to the US Attorney Generals site and find out how to register a complaint!

ps: never click on these sites as they are monitored by the Feds and you may end up a target...!

Not sure if you know this, but it might help you in battling the kiddie porn freaks. If you right-click on a hyperlink and select properties, it will usually give you the target address. That's the link that will open when you click it. There are of course exceptions to that rule, but maybe it will help.

Much the same with copying the email, you could probably just type the contents of the picture out and add the link in so whoever it goes to can copy and paste it in.

Dunno if that will help you...

From what I understand from the article, this initiative is based on consenting adult pornography, not illegal child pornography.

"family or traditional family or both"...unless you were referring to single parents...then I misunderstood!

You were implying that I was trying to promote something that I was not. I was just curious as to whether the view was that porn only affected "family" in the traditional sense, or all definitions of the word "family," agenda'd or otherwise.

If I'm going to promote a cause, I won't use slight of hand to do it. Promise. I'll come right out and say "I think homosexual families are fine" or whatever the case may be. I realize I'm new around these parts, so I understand the confusion.

Yeah, that's one of the things that crossed my mind. I thought about going ahead and forwarding it, but didn't want to if it didn't specifically say I should. I could just imagine getting busted for distributing the stuff when all I was trying to do was report it.

Tried that. This is apparently one of the exceptions. With it being from a UK address, I'm not even sure it will do a lot of good to report it to U.S. authorities, but I am going to try anyway.

(trust me!) porn is fine, but it has its place and time. and in email of some kid is not the place. i get pissed off when i get into my mail and its all bullshit porn mail. to which i know i didnt subscribe. they need to get a hell of alot tougher on porn spammers.

They probably have filters that seek out words like the ones you use above and then hone in on your email.

That leads to spammers in general. The porn just aggravates people more because they are afraid their kids might get it, but spammers in general cause a great deal of nuisannce not only to end users but to the bandwidth of the internet as well. With all that useless data infesting the internet, its only a matter of time before it clogs it up.

BTW, does anyone actually know a person who purchased an item from spam of any kind? Mail, email, phone, etc. Why do these people send these things? It seems more malicious then for advertising. Hijack attempts disguised as emails that try to grab hold of your desktop and get whatever they can from your personal info. This most certainly should be illegal.

Is adult porn okay between a married couple who like to view it together?

as long as its between two consenting adults, in the privacy of their own house, why not
