Then you haven't paid attention to the Israeli press, the Israeli public, the Israeli courts and the Israeli government. Shit happens. There is the fog of war. There are times when mistakes are made and judgments are clouded by perceptions and a siege mentality. That said, Israel does what very few of it;s neighbors have ever done---it has apologized and made amends for wrongs.
