The Voters Are Speaking In Wisconsin!!

We don't last as a country.

We will split up into 2 separate confederacies: Bankrupt Union run Blue States and Low Brow Red States and it won't be a pleasant process either.

Don't worry, Frankie, the Wisconsin GOP is prolly gerrymander the fuck out of the map as I type desperately trying to stop the tide from coming in.

Sen Franken (D) LOL

Crack me up every time I see who are the Intellectuals in the Dem Party today
There no intellectuals in the dimwit party.

Payback is a bitch Republicans

You can't be that stupid? The seat we are discussing was held by a Democrat. They didn't win a Republican seat, they didn't boot a Republican out. They held a seat. Net change to composition of Wisconsin Senate...ZERO!!!!!

Then again, maybe that will seem like a victory after the bloodbath Democrats took in 2010 and will take again in 2012....

And if you're honest with yourself you know full well what the outcome will be for the GOP Senators and possibly as well as Walker, right?

.
The person with the honesty problem is you Goose. Your OP was celebratory, like Democrats had actually won something.

As for the outcome of the other senators (5 Democrats and 3 Republicans) we'll see what happens. I don't pretend to have a crystal ball.

Your OP was dishonest.

The Democrats may come out ahead of the game after all the recalls are done, it is possible. But then again they may not- they could lose seats. You've dishonestly declared victory after 1 inning when we still have 8 more to go......:cuckoo:

If you don't like our country, no one is forcing you to stay.

Now Wisconsin can turn into a red state. Low test scores. Low salaries. Not bright enough to know when they are being hurt, misguided, and taken advantage of. Just the way the GOP wants it. Meanwhile the rich laugh all the way to the bank. There needs to be an uprising by the middle class.

when the OP started this thread, one democrat was facing recall. He pushed it back very nicely.

Now we have several more recall elections happening tomorrow, tuesday.

when the Democrats win all those. .... If the democrats win all those.... that will be the time to crow. Or cry.

In the OP I said..........

The Voters Are Speaking In Wisconsin!!

And so far it looks like they are saying FUCK YOU to the GOP and Governor Walker. (emphasis added)

Now I asked you ONCE and I did so very nicely. Now I'm asking you again....

How was I dishonest? What did I lie about? Please answer or admit you were wrong.

Who here doesnt agree that it is the DUTY of hard working middle class folk to constantly strive for more. More wages, more benefits. Who here does not want to see a hard working person get ahead? Answer? Some, not all, on the GOP side of things. Herein is the battle.

Is that why all the blue districts cheat for their students?

Is it the genius factor?

I agree. It only becomes a problem when speaking of public sector Unions. Even FDR was opposed to them along with organized labor leaders.
Letter on the Resolution of Federation of Federal Employees Against Strikes in Federal Service

August 16, 1937

Mr. Luther C. Steward
President, National Federation of Federal Employees
10 Independence Avenue, S.W., Washington, D.C.

My dear Mr. Steward:

As I am unable to accept your kind invitation to be present on the occasion of the Twentieth Jubilee Convention of the National Federation of Federal Employees, I am taking this method of sending greetings and a message.

Reading your letter of July 14, 1937, I was especially interested in the timeliness of your remark that the manner in which the activities of your organization have been carried on during the past two decades "has been in complete consonance with the best traditions of public employee relationships." Organizations of Government employees have a logical place in Government affairs.

The desire of Government employees for fair and adequate pay, reasonable hours of work, safe and suitable working conditions, development of opportunities for advancement, facilities for fair and impartial consideration and review of grievances, and other objectives of a proper employee relations policy, is basically no different from that of employees in private industry. Organization on their part to present their views on such matters is both natural and logical, but meticulous attention should be paid to the special relationships and obligations of public servants to the public itself and to the Government.

All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management. The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer in mutual discussions with Government employee organizations. The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives in Congress. Accordingly, administrative officials and employees alike are governed and guided, and in many instances restricted, by laws which establish policies, procedures, or rules in personnel matters.

Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of Government employees. Upon employees in the Federal service rests the obligation to serve the whole people, whose interests and welfare require orderliness and continuity in the conduct of Government activities. This obligation is paramount. Since their own services have to do with the functioning of the Government, a strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent on their part to prevent or obstruct the operations of Government until their demands are satisfied. Such action, looking toward the paralysis of Government by those who have sworn to support it, is unthinkable and intolerable. It is, therefore, with a feeling of gratification that I have noted in the constitution of the National Federation of Federal Employees the provision that "under no circumstances shall this Federation engage in or support strikes against the United States Government."

I congratulate the National Federation of Federal Employees the twentieth anniversary of its founding and trust that the convention will, in every way, be successful.

Very sincerely yours,

[Franklin Roosevelt
President, United States]

“It is impossible to bargain collectively with the government.” George Meany -- the former president of the A.F.L.-C.I.O -- in 1955

I confess I didn't know about those. What happened?
