400 percent increase in reshored jobs last year compared to 2003, when the country lost a net 140,000 positions to offshoring.

Companies cited several top reasons for returning jobs to the U.S., led by government incentives, a skilled workforce, the value of promoting products that are "Made in USA" and automation.

Report Reshoring Leads To Net Gain Of 10K Manufacturing Jobs

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Government incentives - Democrats understand this.

Skilled and educated work force - Democrats understand this.

Automation - Democrats understand this.

From 2001 to 2008, millions of jobs were sent overseas. Over 40,000 factories closed here in this country. Industry was helped by the US Chamber of Commerce which gets the bulk of its money from China, India and Russia. We know the COC gives to Republicans 10 to 1 over Democrats. That has been reported many times.
Republicans held all three branches of government for six years during this time.
But according to them, it's the Democrats fault. First, for not blocking GOP economic policy and second for not fixing the problems fast enough. It's a kind of circular logic. If you can't fix it faster than I destroy it, it's your fault.

What jobs are coming back that will provide living wage self-supporting opportunities that cover all education and skill levels? Will we re-open plants and factories? Will we once again produce textiles, steel, electronics, tools, toys, appliances, housewares, automotive parts, and farm equipment? Will the products that we produce be affordable to most Americans? Will we once again manufacture furniture? Will America once again produce what America uses and consumes? Will greedy unions cause American made goods to be unaffordable for non-union workers, as happened in the past?

Will this transition mean that we'll re-write our unfair, unjust, and one-sided foreign trade agreements and policies, so that they become fair, equal, and balanced foreign trade agreements and policies? Will American labor produce these products, or will we import labor and use illegal immigrant labor instead? And, when is all of this going to take place? Will this mean that we'll have an adequate number of living wage self-supporting jobs to meet the demands of our work force?

How many jobs have we lost due to businesses off-shore out-sourcing jobs to cheap foreign labor markets? Will those jobs come back also? In other words, is all of this nothing more than hype, or is it something that will actually take place? Are we really getting our jobs back?

Without all those other things, you will never eliminate deficits. The truly ignorant will never understand that.

No, what the truly ignorant will never understand is that if we had a viable business climate we wouldn't need government incentives, dumb ass.

By the way, who signed NAFTA into law, troll?

The past is the past. The only really unskilled labor jobs will be in restaurants or digging ditches. And even some of those jobs are disappearing. Why? This video will explain it. Tell me how many people do you see working here.

Check out the video in the previous post dunce. Get a grip and try to understand simple reality. You'll be glad you did. A lot less scared.

Well, fair enough. But, tell me how many American made products are on our store shelves. How many consumers are buying American made products? How many plants and factories do we have running 24/7? Now, tell me how many foreign made products do we import every year, that could be made with American labor? Also, tell me why we sacrifice our economic well-being in favor of supporting foreign economies. Why have we become import dependent?

No need to Google the answers, I already know the answers. I was asking you the questions to see what kind of answers you would come up with. Have any answers?

Republicans held all three branches of government for six years during this time.
.

100% stupid. holding a branch of govt does not enable them to eliminate the corporate tax, eliminate unions and liberal deficits, send 20 million illegals home, or end the liberal war on our schools and families.

You know Republicans will NEVER pick food or do lawns. Those jobs require way too much effort for the average Republican.

How do you propose we do that, genius? Round them up and load them into buses? At 100 per bus load, that's 200,000 buses.

Got any idea how long that would take or how much it would cost?

And who's going to do the jobs the illegals are doing now? Americans? You've got to be kidding.

The utter stupidity of the right never ceases to amaze.

It's really very simple. --------- Place anyone that hires them, houses them, or otherwise assists them in any way, shape, form, or fashion, in prison for life without the possibility of parole, and the illegals will run for the border as fast as they can. After one or two are sentenced and placed behind bars, no one will hire illegals, house them, not assist them. And, If businesses want to stay in business, they'll have to hire U.S. citizens to do the work. ------ see, it's really very simple to solve the illegal immigrant issue.

They come here because anti-America jerks hire them, house them, give them health care, feed them, and make them feel right at home. Take all of that away, and Illegals will run for the border very fast.

As a conservative I would love to be able to say that I only buy American made products. However one only has to buy a few of those over priced items to understand that you are not getting value for your buck.

Each and every time I try to buy American, I'm disappointed. I no longer care where it's made, I look for value. Hence I have a lot of foreign made products.

i look for american made first....i had heard about american giant for a while...and the high quality of their hoodies....but there was a huge back log of back orders......but i ordered one...and it was excellent....it did not fit grumpy...they are very tailored so you need a size up....but i was so impressed by the hoodie i gave it to the son and ordered another one for grumpy....yes they are pricey 89 bucks ..free shipping....but they are american made and the quality shows
