The process looks to be a bit of a shambles from over here.

Both sides seem to be playing the same game and it all looks rather tawdry. These women may be lying in order to run down the clock.

But the other side is happy to airbrush out all the accusations for exactly the same reason. They are terrified that they will lose control of the process in November.

I cant see any good guys in this process.

How could the process be de-politicized so that justice is better served ?

Trial by public opinion, we learned that political tactic from Parliament......... centuries ago and they no doubt learned it from the Romans, Saxons and Normans.......

There is nothing to airbrush out. None of the women are accusing him of rape. At worst they are frat party pranks or drunken disorderly conduct of teenagers. They have zero evidence, if they felt they were “assaulted” then they would had told their friends, parents, or authorities at the time. They didn’t which means they were cool with it at the time or they are full of shit. Either way it has no bearing on the long established career of the future SCOTUS Judge.

Why I think Kavanaugh is guilty, because he doesn't want his buddy , Judge, to testify under oath.
He doesn't want him to perjure himself, otherwise he would insist he be there.

He is accused of attempted rape.

Why throw all the politicians out of office..........LOL

To me it is obvious that this is what happens when you have a system hi-jacked by two corrupt political parties whose main purpose is to gain or hold on to power, all the while working together to make sure voices from outside the political mainstream (third parties) do not have access to the system. They use their connections in corrupt mainstream news media (on both sides) to accomplish both goals. We are all just audience members watching the spectacle as it plays out. It doesn't really matter who wins or loses any particular fight. What matters is that we the people are entertained, distracted, disillusioned or disgusted, and ultimately remain powerless.

Guys, its about the process not the current shambles.
Keep up.
No process can change the unethical dirt flung around over here...................

The process is quite frankly not the problem...............it's the idiots people are electing and the media whores who would sell their mother for a buck.........

The process is a sham, which plays into the hands of insane freaks who make accusations with zero evidence....If the republican were smart, which they aren't, they'd dispense with any future dog-and-pony show hearings for any of their nominees and just submit them for a vote.

Provide a credible source for your ludicrous accusation or be acknowledged a liar of the first order.

So, is the solution a new political party that is united in preserving and expanding democratic processes with no definitive political philosophy?Instead they would be focused on policy making that represents the “will of the people” on one hand and a general sense of our laws and precedents on the other (seems very unlikely and unable to gain enough support to be anything but spoilers). Or should reasonable people look toward Independents who are loosely affiliated and caucus together in Congress?(again a pretty weak foundation to build a rebuttal to the current madness on) Please someone throw a life preserver, all of this mindless back and forth name calling is bound to sink the whole ship.

It can’t be de-politicized; that genie is out of the bottle.

And what you’re witnessing is the dismantling of the American Constitutional Republic, the replacing of the rule of law with the capricious ‘will of the people’ – where the ignorance, fear, bigotry, racism, and hate of the people will go unchecked by the Constitution and its case law, allowing government to disadvantage various classes of persons for no other reason than who they are through force of law, because a simple majority of citizens have an unwarranted fear of, and hostility toward, a given class of persons.

This will be the consequence of Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court, or that of any reactionary conservative ideologue.

Too funny. You have described perfectly the Democrat intent.

I don't exactly understand how a lot of the European countries do it, with reps from several different parties forming "coalitions" once they are elected, but it sounds like in some places, they've worked out having more than two platforms represented.

Coalition governments are even worse. Italy changes theirs every other week, it seems.
