The Unions are anti-America.

The UAW is NOT to blame for the domestic automakers failure. The management who made promises but never put aside money to pay for those promises are the true culprits. You cannot promise people retirement and medical care for life and not save any money towards paying those expenses! It's insane to constantly expect the next generation to pick up the tab. Their practices are nothing more than a ponzi scheme. Now of course, the union should've stipulated that some money be put aside, which is what they're doing now. They're accepting cash and stock to manage the benefits themselves.

Don't we find it rather odd that all those laissez fair capitains of industry called for and got US TROOPS whenever the unions shut their plants and mines down?

Unions are MORE laissezfaire capitalistic than the fat cats they struck against.

Industries get together to conspire against the market.

So do unions.

What gets the corporate tools panties all in a bunch is that the unions stood in the way of them completely dominating the workers.

What is more totalitarian than a major corporation without a union to stand up for the workers?

Nothing.

We're reaping the benefits of the union busting that's been happening folks.

It's ULTIMATELY responsible for the economic meltdown that's happening right now, in fact.

Workers wages go down, the government responds by making credit too loose.

The corporations like that because it increases sales and makes it cheaper for them to borrow, too.

The wealthy get VERY wealthy, but they cannot find anyplace to invest that doesn't turn into a bubble.

Bhe bubble pop, one after the other, while workers cannot afford to buy anything.

DEFLATION begins to gobble up all that paper wealthy of the very wealthy and we go into a DEPRESSION.

There you go...fourty years of economic history in less than 100 words.
