Would Obama make a good president?

Now I know some will object that he's been president for 20 months now. But that's only technically true. He was sworn in, yes. But he has yet to govern. There has not been a single bill that was the product of his own work. Every one passed came from the Democrats in Congress. He has introduced no new ideas. He has not changed the face of debate in Washington. He has only intensified its acrimony and partisanship. He is the campaigner in chief, globe hopping to campaign for this or that.
So if Obama were ever to become president, how would he do?

Totally agree. He keeps playing to his base, and like the EU found out, socialism simply doesn't work. Someone needs to tell the leftist professors that they need to teach conservatism instead of socialism.

I'll toss out one new idea for Obama's consideration: prohibit the short-sale of stock. Ideally it would provide capital for business investment and job creation. Then add that to the tax-breaks for creating or in-sourcing jobs and we should get the economy moving.

Even if you disagree with my idea, put up others and lets debate them. But your OP is correct, I don't see the Obama admin doing anything that would work in the long term, except the new tax-breaks for creating jobs.
Obama planning new package of economic aid

All of Obama's proposals are simply more of the same. Temporary breaks never work, as we discovered i cash for clunkers etc. It simply pushes demand into a short window.
He is incapable of learning. His policies are total disasters. And the worst part is he has no idea either that they failed or how to fix them.

We would have better grounds to stand on and evaluate if the Republican reactionaries led by Boehner and McConnell would not obstruct the majority's legislative proposals. The Democrats are fools if they believe that the Republicans will flatly ignore the protocol of reconciliation when they return to power and pass everything they wish as the kowtow to corporatism. The reactionary Republican slaves of business will legislate the American people into a great depression that will make this recession seem mild.

Consider yourself to be in the eye of the storm. The next president won't be so layed backed and composed, count on it.

Good. I dont want a president laid back and composed when al Qaeda is planning attacks on this country and we are facing a grave economic crisis. I dont want someone taking more vacations in 2 years than I'e had in 20. I want someone engaged and concerned. And Obama isn't it.

Yea...and he never did anything after he was a Community Organizer either

Pretty sure I know what it says.
Still wonder how that is a response to anything I wrote.

Why am I not surprised?

Because you're stupid?

You're the one who doesn't get it, not me.

No, I'm pretty sure you have no idea what you're talking about. Of course since you can't or wont spell it out it's hard to tell.

I spelled it out pretty damn well.

Maybe someone else can explain it to you.

You posted a Youtube video and claim that "spells it out pretty damn well"???

Yup.

You're rapidly losing credibility here.

Actually, I'm continuing to make you look like a moron for not "getting" a totally not obscure point at all.

So please....continue....
