The power of the purse gives the House the power to NOT FUND increased Gov't, and to not fund chit they don't agree with.

top 1% pay 40% of all federal income tax, up from 20% under Reagan. NYS and CA get 50% of their budgets from top 1%, while bottom 50% pay no federal taxes. That is wealth coddling or poor coddling?

The top 1% has seen its earnings more than triple in that time, while the bottom 50% haven't seen any increase at all. Based on that, it isn't a surprise that the top 1% is not paying 40% of all federal income tax. It's called rocket science.
