The U.S. cost of supporting Israel

Sorry .. Israel doesn't have shit to do with our "heritage." .. and if you open that bible you'll find LOTS of murder .. with your god doing most of it. In fact, your god sent his armies into villages to slaughter everything in sight .. men, children, goats, sheep, and women .. unless they were unknown to man .. ie; virgins. His men could keep most of the virgins for themselves .. after your god got his share of them .. and they could pass the rest around like booty (pun intended) Proof that god has a dick. That comes from your bible along with many other horror stories. That may be your god and your heritage, but it sure the hell ain't mine. Israel is in violation of more UN Resolutions than any nation in history. Start from there .. leave the bible for believers and in mythology.
Hilarious drivel. What's that "our "heritage", by the way?
What's your "heritage"?

By the way.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper: Israel A Bastion Of Democracy & Freedom :clap2:
All of my life, Israel has been a symbol of the triumph of hope and faith. After 1945, our battered world desperately needed to be lifted out of post-war darkness and despair. After so much pain and suffering, humanity needed comfort and optimism. After so much death and destruction, we needed renewal. The renewal of the dream of a better and more civilized world. We needed to be inspired and it was the Jewish people who suffered most who provided that inspiration.

By their example, they led the world back to the light. From shattered Europe and other countries, near and far, the descendants of Abrhahan, Isaac and Jacob made their way home. Their pilgramage was the culmination of a 2000 year dream it is a tribute to the unquenchable human aspiration for freedom and a testament to the indominable spirit of the Jewish People.

In the 60 years that followed, Israel blossomed into one of the most successful countries on Earth. A land of ingenuity and enterprise, an oasis of agricultural genius, a wellspring of fine art and high culture, a model of democracy, Israel is truly the miracle in the desert.

But, the source of Israel's strength and success is its commitment to the universal values of all civilized people, freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law. Soon, I hope to have the opportunity to travel to Israel to see the miracle with my own eyes. To see how millions of people from all over the Earth with their countless different languages and traditions came together to build a modern, prosperous, vibrant democratic country.

I want to see first hand what the survivors of the Holocaust and their descendants have accomplished for theirs is truly an achievement of resilience and renewal unsurpassed in the annals of human history. Considering how far Israel has come in so short a time, in the face of such seemingly insurmountable odds, I can foresee no dark force, no matter how strong, that could succeed in dimming the light of freedom and democracy that shines from within Israel.

I was there for this speech.

Props to Prime Minister Stephen Harper who carries on the tradition of Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson who was a mainstay in both drafting the Partition of Israel and fighting the already growing Muslim block.

Harper stands at the ready just as Lester did.

Canada Rocks!

Maybe Israel can support itself from now on: Big Gas Find Sparks A Frenzy in Israel.
In true expression of the arab thuggery and extortionism there are claims Israel is stealing their natural resources. In Churchill's memorable words: Left to themselves, the Arabs of Palestine would not in a thousand years have taken effective steps towards the irrigation and electrification of Palestine. They would have been quite content to dwell - a handful of philosophic people - in wasted sun-drenched plains, letting the waters of the Jordan flow unbridled and unharnessed into the Dead Sea. And then they claim it has been all theirs all along.

When did Churchill ever side with the natives?

"Natives" - euphemism for arab settling-squatting bums from the hood. "Far from being persecuted, the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied until their population has increased more than even all world Jewry could lift up the Jewish population."
Churchill knew his arabs, of course.

Is the reason you gave no link to that supposed quote, 'coz you made it up?:eusa_liar:

Churchill was a colonialist pig. He always thought the colonialist were right and the natives subhuman. This was not his opinion only of the Palestinians. These were the talking points used against natives all over the world.

Oh! The "smelliness" of this "argument" was, of course, bombastic.

"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
Omar Ahmad, co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), July, 1998.
Colonizing pigs, calling others colonialist pigs. Duh.
He always thought the colonialist were right and the natives subhuman. This was not his opinion only of the Palestinians. These were the talking points used against natives all over the world.
No amount of this pseudo-"colonial" drivel will ever conceal the fact that, palistainians are major colonizing-settling flotsam and bratsam from the hood and descendants thereof.

The official, on-the-table U.S. aid to Israel --rarely, if at all, addressed in the mainstream media-- is $3,000,000,000 (40% economical and 60% Military) since 1984 and $2,500,000,000 since 1973. Add to that $1,271,000,000/yr for special gifts and programs subsidized by the U.S., such as the Arrow missile and the Lavi fighter, plus the loan guarantees of $10,000,000,000 over 5 years, plus the interest ($500,000,000/yr) the U.S. must pay on money borrowed to pay for the grants to Israel. The total for the five years (1993-1997) was around $6,300,000,000/year ($6.3 BILLION) or over $17 Million/DAY. This is more than what the U.S. spends on domestic drug enforcement.

Prospectively, the total U.S. foreign aid to the whole world (6 Billion people) is about $18 BILLION, so, the one thousandth (1/1000) of the world population living in Israel --with life expectancy higher than that of the U.S.-- gets one third of US aid. Also, in 1990 Israel GNP is $24 Billion, i.e. a quarter of Israel's income comes from the U.S. The Aid to Israel is in the form of loans, which are typically forgiven by the AIPAC-dominated congress.

The above figures do not include:

* the tax-deductible donations, mostly by American Jews and Christian Zionists, to Israel totaling over $1,000,000,000/year.
* the lumps of money Israel usually demands from the U.S. upon each withdrawal from the occupied territories during the current Peace Process, (for example, Netanyahu is planning to ask the U.S. for about $1,200,000,000 for the 13% withdrawal of mid-1998, to cover costs).
* Israel Bonds sold in the U.S. for $500,000,000/year
* the $1,000,000,000/year U.S. commercial banks lend to Israel
* the $2,100,000,000/year the U.S. rewards Egypt for signing peace with Israel
* The fact that unlike other countries, Israel gets its US aid in one chunk at the beginning of the distribution year, instead of quarterly installments. This allows Israel to further make interest on that money over other aid-receiving countries.

The U.S. cost of supporting Israel - Radio Islam

Consider the possibility that the Wesdtern powers support Israel, not out of any misplaced alliagance to the Jews, but so that Western power has a plausible "moral high ground" to mess with the Arabs.

It was obvious, even in 1918 that OIL was becoming a strategic resource, and England didn't have any.

Who did? The Mideast, and central Asia.

Note how the Treaty of Paris and Mandate gave Europe control over the lands where so much oil is?

And how nice if Western European powers had a truly committed ally in the region, true?

And how much more committed can a people be than one which is surrounded by people who want to kill them all?

Israel is, as it was planned to be, an outpost of WESTERN POWER in Asia.

The support that Western Civiliization gives Israel, that support that some of you mistaken think is some kind of altruism for the European Jews who settled there, makes one hell of a lot more sense when viewed in the cold calculating light of geopolitics.

It was not a guilt driven gift we gave to a people that we (meaning we Christians of EURO culture) gave our former victims. After all, the Jews were promised Palestine even before the end of WWI by Lord Balfour, was it not? England (during WWWI) needed the Rothchild's help funding the war. Rothchild supported Zionism. A deal was struck. Their mutally shared interest continues to advance Western Civilization's hold over Asian oil.

The Anglo-American alliance with world Jewery (now manifesting as the State of Israel) makes perfect sense if you stop imagining that nations are motivated by moral considerations, and accept the fact that nations were, are and always will be, motivated by pragmatism.

Almost all foreign aid that is given is given with a sub rosa motive.

Every cent that we or the West gives comes with sting attached, or with motives that serve our masters interests.

Israel is nothing but a monetary drain on the American taxpayer.

We basically get zero for our dollar.

And our support for the rogue apartheid state of Israel.

Does nothing to enhance our prestige and image in the the world.

Well we see what happens when we support muslim nations. they take our money, then blow our people up...shrugs.

Once WWI began it devolved into stalemate after two years.
In 1916 it looked like the bankers who had backed both sides would not have a loser to crucify.
According to some accounts, the US joined the fight in exchange for eventual post war control of oil.
It took 30 more years, but in 1948 almost everybody got what they needed/wanted.

Except for the two out of three residents of Mandate Palestine who were not Jewish
