Talk to any Trump supporter and all you hear is their deep concern for the fate of the unborn children of the world, and their GOD inspired fight against those baby killing Liberals! Once these children are born and they no longer serve the political needs of the right wing, we hear a very different tune. The conservative agenda cuts funding for food, healthcare, and education for children in favor of tax cuts for the rich, and bloated defence budgets, complete with lucrative deals for their "friends" in the defence contracting field. Children are the most vulnerable of our citizens, they have no political voice, and cannot support themselves. Where is all the right wings Bible thumping concern for our children once they are born? All I see from these conservative suits in DC for our children is contempt and indifference.

It's a tenuous dichotomy, to be sure.

While I'm pro choice, I can understand and appreciate their take on abortion. But once the child is born, the Right's libertarian impulses take over, and they take this seemingly indifferent posture. "Well, it's up to the parents", they'll say, or "that's what charity is for."

Really? And precisely how does a two year old child go about coercing a parent to get their shit together, or if that fails, applying for public assistance?

This myopic, dogmatic worldview sure does leave a lot of little people out once they're born.

Give to the rich
Steal from everyone else

That sums up the right wing in this country!

Cut education = keep more people poor
Cut food stamps = starve the poor
Cut Medicare and medicade = let them die!!!

Just as long as the blood thirsty rich get their fucking tens of trillions to offshore.

Yup, once they are born they don't want anything to do with them. Somebody else's problem.

You give baby's a chance , once they are born it's all free will.

The morality of the Right seems to be not merely flexible but negotiable. Demean and abuse women? He's a "straight talker". Mock the disabled? The media proffers "fake news". Pay off a porn star for an adulterous affair? The opposition does worse. For the Right morality seems to be served up at a smorgasbord. The choices are endless and one may pick and chose at one's whim. Whatever looks best for 'my guy'.

The right believes in two things
1. Fuck the poor! Get 3 jobs suckers!
2. Give it all to the elites and the rich. The above adds into this as the poor little slave has to fuck themselves into the ground for these bastards through those 3 jobs.

Repeat

All this morality they bitch about is only for the little guy! It is to make you suffer and make life suck just a little more.

The Center for American Progress (CAP) is a progressive public policyresearch and advocacy organization. According to CAP, the center is "dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans, through bold, progressive ideas, as well as strong leadership and concerted action."[2] The Center presents a liberal[3] viewpoint on economic and social issues. It has its headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The president and chief executive officer of CAP is Neera Tanden, who worked for the Obama and Clinton administrations and for Hillary Clinton's campaigns.[4] The first president and CEO was John Podesta, who has served as White House Chief of Staff to U.S. President Bill Clinton and as the chairman of the 2016 presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.[5] Podesta remained with the organization as chairman of the board until he joined the Obama White House staff in December 2013. Tom Daschle is the current chairman.[6]

The Center for American Progress has a youth-engagement organization, Generation Progress, and a sister advocacy organization, the Center for American Progress Action Fund (CAPAF). Citing Podesta's influence in the formation of the Obama Administration, a November 2008 article in Timestated that "not since the Heritage Foundation helped guide Ronald Reagan's transition in 1981 has a single outside group held so much sway".[7]

Corrupt to the very core.

What the hell is wrong with you people? Republicans want them cared for before and after they are born. Republicans also want their fathers to go to work to support them after they are born. They want the child's mother off of drugs and functioning. And if that isn't feasible, then the government will pay for your food, and house and everything else.
And if baby momma doesn't want you, someone will.

Women you have the right to prevent pregnancy now. And several ways to do so. You have the right to give it away if you want to and pick right up where you left off. What you should not have the right to do is kill it because 9 months is an inconvenience. Just plan your due date so you'll be in top form to have sex after the prom...

Republicans/conservatives are in favor of life, and are in favor of personal responsibility. Both are co-equal in value.

Standards and morals once kept young women from falling to young sexual predators on the prowl, and kept young men thinking before laying with their girlfriends to pump them up with a baby, and then quickly lose interest afterwards.

Everytime the conservatives want to build a world again that has standards and morals involved, then here come the leftist demons a running with Satan's blessings to create chaos, mayhem, and confusion in order to stop it dead in it's tracks.

What was number 3?

Btw the right provides those 3 jobs, try getting three jobs in Detroit. .

Didn't Dems vote for the last omnibus bill overwhelmingly? As a matter of fact I recall them being overjoyed with Trump's signature on the bill.

Not that I need to stick my nose into every tribal battle -- but that's not really the RW message. It's about HEALTHY choices besides abortion. And not many on the RIGHT are FORCING any mother/father to care for that child. There's a LARGE emphasis on adoption. Meaning unwanted children going to parents that WANT them and able to care for them.

Big market in cross race adoption now. LARGELY due to the emphasis on adoption.

And of course the other "healthy" message is don't have kids you don't want or can't afford. That's just common sense and REDUCES the need for abortion which MOST everybody wants in the 1st place. Even a lot of pro-choicers....

Is that so difficult to comprehend?

I completely agree that ours is a culture in decay. And repairing/reversing that would be such a heavy lift that I'm doubtful it will happen.

But the fact remains, we are punishing children for being born into bad situations. A child can't change his or her parents, a child can't apply for charity.

So now it's up to us to decide whether we should keep ignoring them.

Yeah, anything we can do to reduce the number of children born into shit show situations is great, I'm all for it. But once a child is there, he or she will be essentially helpless for many years, during their formative years.

I'd think children like that would be off limits to the level of responsibility we hold adults. We need to hold children to their own set of standards, by all means, but we can't just ignore them when they pop out of the womb, and then for 18 years. What are we creating there?
