In the NY Metro area, the traffic reporters sometimes make allusions to "an unauthorized truck" or a "misplaced vehicle."

What they mean to say is "some asshole trucker who could not read the clear 'height' signs OR the signs that said 'no trucks on the Parkway' has managed to shut down traffic in one (or both) directions when he crashed the top of his rig into an overpass."

That is a bit wordy, I suppose.
