First, the Biblical history and scholars show and tell us there was a man named Jesus who was born to Mary of Nazareth and that he was crucified, was buried in a tomb and on the third day it became empty. It's part of the Nicene Creed. Why is that so hard to believe? What evidence to the contrary do you have? You believe in "faith-based" things and incidents, i.e. worldview, without any evidence. At least, I have the Bible, history and real science to back up my "faith-based" beliefs.

I think that you don't understand the concept of evidence.

You don't have to provide evidence that something isn't so, you have to provide evidence that it is. The only evidence you have for a magic sky fairy is a book written by people a long time ago.

It's a sin because it says so in the Bible. Eventually, the believers are suppose to get rid of their sins by believing and striving to be fruitful citizens. The final step is for Jesus to make them holy.

The bible also says it's a sin to work on the Sabbath, but I don't see you going down throwing stones at folks at the Home Depot.

There's a whole shitload of things in the bible that are called "Sins", but funny thing, people still enjoy their pork and shrimp eggrolls while wearing polyester mix clothing and think they are right with Jesus.

They are illegal, so should not be able to vote or get jobs. However, this is not the case; It starts with fake IDs. Our California driver's licenses aren't real ids anymore. Even the DMV won't accept them as identification haha. They only issue them and starting in 2020 they will issue separate real-ids if you can prove that you are a citizen. Obviously, a wall would help keep them real.

Uh, no, people will just figure out ways to get around a wall. In fact, half of undocumented immigrants don't cross the Southern Border, they get in other ways.

But again, locking out poor people because you don't like them, yup, that's totally what Jesus would do... it's in the bible, um, somewhere.

Besides, the end of the world could be stalled by building a wall. We want to keep borders sacred to delay and prevent one-world government, i.e. socialism-communism.

First, the world isn't going to end when we inevitably get to a global government. Sorry, man, hate to break that to you, but it won't. Second, a Wall won't prevent it... We are already on our way there with international trade. The INTERNET is causing more globalism than immigration, which is why we are talking on this board to people from all over the world. (I've counted Israelis, Canadians, Australians, British, and one poster I think is from Syria.)

What might end the world is our lack of concern bout the environment, but that probably doesn't register to a Bible Thumper.

Yeah, but none of that means it happened. Quite the contrary, almost all of those fantastic accounts come from Gospels written a century after the fact. The bible selected four Gospels out of the hundreds available, (Some of which are even crazier than the ones they kept, like Toddler Jesus killing his playmates.) and even they don't tell a consistant story.

Matthew and Luke tell contradictory stories about the Nativity. Matthew has Mary and Joseph being from Bethlehem, while Luke has them being from Galilee and travelling there for a Census. Their stories have about a ten year difference (Matthew around the death of Herod in 4 BCE, while Luke during the rule of Quirinius in 6 CE). Oh, yeah, and my favorite, the two geneologies of Jesus have different lists of ancestors, only really agreeing that David and Joseph (who wasn't the Sperm Donor) were his ancestors.

Well, let's look at WHY there is a Nicene Creed. There's a Nicene Creed because when Constantine made Christianity the official religion of Rome, there was no consistent philosophy about what "Christians" believed... You had Arianism, Monophytitism, Nestorism, Gnosticism, etc.

So they picked out the Gospels that best supported their position and declared everyone else a heretic.

Okay, buddy, hate to break it to you, the only thing that keeps those guys employed gainfully is they have unions. Household work, most folks pop onto Craig's List of Thumbtack and just find a guy.
