It's a forum tradition that there be a Thread That Will Not Die. This place doesn't have one. If it did, it died. So it was not really a thread that will not die. It was a poser.

I'll start.
When you are 1 year old, a year is 100 percent of your life.
When you are 50 years old, a year is 2 percent of your life.
Time passes much more quickly as you age, except when it is Friday afternoon at the office. Then time slows to a crawl.
This phenomenon explains why people who have reached a certain age always say the exact same thing when the news reports on the anniversary of a well known event.
It goes like this:
ANCHOR: It was one year ago today that Congressman Critter was videotaped throwing live puppies into rush hour traffic...
GEEZER: What? That was a year ago?
