The Technical Cleansing Continues

I recalled the detail on the wife wrong, but the anti-Americanism is as present as ever.

The company is making massive losses on youtube so try again. They use it to undermine the American people and you the "great defender" are watching in support of the Technical Cleansing.

Guess what, it is the companies right to take massive losses if they wish to. It is this odd thing called "liberty"...a word you seem to hate with a passion.

Quite to the contrary, liberty is what these guys are trying to destroy, pro-liberty views are what they are censoring. Where is the "great defender"? Tail tucked in-between legs?

If you do not like what they are doing, you have the Liberty to start your own site and take them on. They are losing money, they should be easy to beat.

What you do not have, if you care about liberty, is the liberty to force them to be nice to you.

I am interested to hear more about how to compete with a company that is losing money and holding a monopoly position. They have been losing money the entire time they have been operational as far as I am aware.

Being a libertarian to me means defending liberty. It appears you are more keen on defending the opponents of liberty. Coward?

you start your own site and let people but whatever videos they want on it. That is how competition works.

The thing about defending liberty, you have to defend it even if you do not agree with what people are doing with it. If they were blocking left wing people you would not give a fuck, that is your downfall, that is why you do not care about liberty. Politics mean more to you.

I do not agree with them, but I will defend their right to do it all day long.

I use YouTube for "how to videos" and nothing else.

I did not agree with the baker and the gay cake, but I damn sure defended their right to say no. Hell, I do not agree with 99% of the crap you post but I will defend your right to post it till the cows come home.

Golfing Gator, I don't know where you got the idea that I have infinite pockets to cover for losses like Google does. A pretend solution...

There is a second option, rather than defending people who attack liberty, don't defend them. They are your enemies not friends. And of course, if some group of people decides to attempt to eradicate all liberty, you stop them. Otherwise you are just a other coward...

Who was it again that you worked for again? The US military, founded entirely on the principles to eliminate the enemies of America, funded by tax dollars. So please stop with the BS already.

On the contrary, Libertarians have a strict laissez-faire policy with regard to government involvement in private business, which I embrace. However, my problem with YouTube is their use of that private business model to advance the socialist (i.e., government control of business) agenda and while taking government benefits to facilitate that agenda. The FCC's oversight of business mergers via Anti-Trust statutes has a legitimate potential of threatening private business autonomy, but certain monopolies and mergers also have the potential to legitimately endanger the public and prevent competition by private enterprises, thereby becoming abusive arms of the state. An example is mergers of National Banks which are subject to approval by the office of the Comptroller of currency, and there are examples of massive public detriment resulting from such mergers in the past. It is a fine line that has been crossed many times, which is the reason for much of the anti-regulation argument.

Perhaps demented libertarians who care only about the application of liberty, and not the preservation of liberty. These folks often support an open border so everyone who wants liberty destroyed can just come over and have their way. Ideological idiots is what these people should be called. It's ironic that the advocates of liberty are one of the greatest threats to liberty.

Well you have to keep in mind that a true libertarian also vehemently opposes any government-provided social welfare and handouts, the absence of which would take away the motivation this recent wave of illegal immigrants has for pouring into this country. Without the promise of freebies, requiring hard work to make a living like the previous wave of immigrants in the 1930s, we wouldn't see these caravans of people pouring over the border in mass numbers. It's no coincidence that this is happening at the same time the international news is broadcasting our elected representatives calling for mandatory government-provided income for everybody regardless of your ability or willingness to work, and a litany of other freebies that are the best ever offered. Free, free, free...best, best, best.

That's a stupid way to look at it. The problem with these ideological libertarians is that they have no solid definition of property. Once you define property precisely you will see the caravans accurately for what they actually are - an invasion and a major breach of the NAP or whatever. I mean who knew that bunch of foreign people coming over the borders to take your stuff is an invasion.

Ideological madness. If you are going to build a system based on logic and axioms - you better account for everything and not stop at 10% there, and then wonder why you freedoms were destroyed and your country invaded.

Golfing Gator, while you were defending the offenders of liberty, real libertarians took action and united against this anti free speech organization. At least one of the channels was restored shortly. Perhaps now you know the difference between actual defenders of liberty and American values, and a wannabe who only talks about liberty and goes on to get paid by tax dollars in the army even himself contradicting his ideological principles when convenient.
