Most of them are angry and frustrated that McCain lost, they were the ones booing in the background when McCain urged them to work with the president-elect. I have seen nothing in the way of ground breaking issues from them, just Obama bashing at any cost. They don't want to work with the president, they're determined to work against him. Both Flaylo and Obama are blacks of mixed race, maybe he knows what Obama is going through, I can't speak for him. What do the Tea Party members proclaim? Please give examples of racism from the party please.
Just to help you out I included the definition of racism:

It is easy to make those claims but is more difficult to actually state valid instances of racism. The word has been thrown around so often it has lost it meaning. On this board, it is thrown out as a way to end debate as no one wants to be labeled racist. The term is misused kind of like the "F" word. Originally "F" was a slang term for having sex. Now it is used in so many ways, it is not recognizable to the original slang. Racism has suffered the same fate.

High taxes hav always been a point of contention for conservatives, why its such a big deal now I don't know. If maybe the Tea Bastards would show a shred of objectivity in their protests I might be inclined to think otherwise. If I disagree with a fucking health care I'll state why I do and give an alternative, I'm not going to call someone a socialist or Hitler to get my point across, there's a fine line between fruitful discussion and downright demagougery.

Your original post stated the Tea Party members were racist. I asked you to give examples of racism from the movement and you did not. As I said in my post, the term racism has very little of the original meaning as does the "F" word. Perhaps that was your intent in using the term as you have given no racism examples to back up your claim. I also included the definition of racism for you.

To answer your question regarding high taxes:
Many are upset with the massive deficit we have and feel that the administration (Bush's too) has added so much more to it and now are asking for americans to help reduce it in the form of higher taxes. I have no problem paying taxes but when the govt uses raising taxes to counter their run away spending sprees, I do have an issue. How much is too much of a tax burden?
