I wonder how far Lanza would have gotten if he had been wielding an ax? He would have been whacking away at that window and trying to climb through broken shards of glass as someone inside would be dialing 911. By then the other admins and teachers would have been racing inside to lock themselves and the kids into classrooms and closets for lock down. The police arrived in 10 minutes so I suspect that there would have been only one or two victims, if any, before Lanza would have proceeded to the first locked door and swung his ax. And the children would be alive today.

But hey, what do I know?

If Lanza had a knife or an axe or a crossbow instead of a gun he still would have gotten in. Don't bring up him cutting himself on broken glass because a cut never stopped anyone determined AND Lanza specifically had a condition that prevented him from feeling pain.

He went into a building where there was no one that could prevent him from doing exactly what he did. The principal and those kindergarten teachers were not going to take him down no matter what he was armed with. He was stopped by men with guns. He would have hacked and slashed until he was stopped by men with guns. If there was someone with a gun on the scene, he would have been taken down that much sooner.

Let's have a liberal wet dream. A classroom full of six year olds could have attacked a knife wielding maniac and taken him out before he killed them. That's what the libs are really saying. Adam Lanza was taken out by people with guns. If the school had an armory, he would have been taken out that much faster.

I think you should become more knowledgeable about actual gun deaths in the last 40 years as opposed to casually stating what has happened throughout history.

CLUE: Weaponry has changed drastically since WWII.
CLUE: Homeowners didn't have Uzis in their closets nor did they think they needed them. They thought those kinds of guns belonged only in the military lest they fall into the wrong hands and innocent people are killed. They were right.
