So many things wrong with your argument.
1. Jefferson got just as much press coverage as Foley.
2. Mailing pornography to a minor is a crime, contrary to your claims otherwise.
3. The reason it was a bigger issue for the political press is Foley was still being supported by the Republican Party, while Jefferson was stripped of all committee assignments and wasn't the Democratic nominee.
