The Sky is Falling!!!!

Pretty sad when you're left praying for your first win from your number five starter! :eusa_pray:

The season that is supposed be a dream for the Boston Red Sox and their fans has started out as a nightmare. It is far too early to panic, but the questions are definitely beginning to enter this fan's mind.

The starting rotation that includes supposed co-aces Jon Lester(notes) (19-9 with a 3.25 ERA last season) and Clay Buchholz(notes) (17-7 with a 2.33 ERA last season), an expected bounce-back performer John Lackey(notes), former ace Josh Beckett(notes) and, of course, the always-unpredictable Daisuke Matsuzaka(notes), was supposed to be one of the many strengths this season. But after almost an entire turn through, it has been far from strong.

Now, the Red Sox are relying on their No. 5 starter, Daisuke Matsuzaka, to finally become the ace that they signed him out of Japan to be four years ago.

After starting the season 0-4, the Red Sox simply need something good to happen so they can move forward with their season. Just get a win. The pressure, though they would never admit it, must be mounting to just win a game. Once that is done, the team will be able to focus on playing the game. Daisuke Matsuzaka must be that person. It needs to happen now.

A starting rotation with so much money put into it and with that much ability, to start the season with a goose egg after one full turn would not be good. It would actually be quite embarrassing. Matsuzaka finished his spring strong and hopefully he can keep that going in his first game of the season.
