The Settlements Myth

Wrong, dumb ass. Israel and our payments to Egypt on Israel's behalf soak up about 2/3's of the entire foreign aid budget. The rest get squat in comparison.

And this "fact" you're crying about is bullshit. Jews have lived in the ME since the begining of time. So have Arabs. They both live through out the ME, always have, always will. Try a little objectivity on the issue.

as I've stated before,, "it's their stated goal" I told you Israel left Gaza.. What happened "NEXT?

Who is this mysterious "they" you speak of that you seem to think represents the whole of the Arab world?

oh here we go,, parsing,, how much of the Arab world would you guesstimate wants Israel to "be gone" literally if not dead,, out of the ME?

You seem to be the expert, why don't you tell us.

Exactly, the Jews who went to the concentration camps back in WWII were Europeans, not Israelis because there was no Israel back then until the UK gave it to them after WWII. Man, we have some real dumb asses on here don't we?

There have always been Jews and Arabs living together in the ME. There were skirmishes and disagreements, usually rooted in politics, but for the most part, Jews and Arabs have lived together peacably for centuries.

Oh yes! do tell, Peace reigns in the Middle East! Brooklyn Bridge anyone???:lol:

True dat, but not true today.

Yeah, it's a problem now.

The thing that people like Willow seem to convieniently forget are a couple of key details of how this Israel / Arab problem came about.

A bunch of European Christians were killing Jews.

A bunch of American Christians unwittingly stopped them because of the whole war thing.

When the American Christians saw that the European Christians still had a bunch of live, incarcerated Jews, the American and British Christians said "shit.....what are we going to do with all these Jews?"

America Christians said "hell no, we're not taking all those Jews."

British and Canadian Christians said "hell no, we're not taking all those Jews."

So on and so forth it went with Christians around the world.

Eventually, the Israel plan was hatched and the Christians, whose fellow Christians had just slaughtered 6 million or so Jews, decided to send hoards of foreign Jews to a previously uninvolved third party in the whole mess, the Arabs. Oddly enough, an rarely mentioned in this whole mess are the native Jews in the middle east at the time who saw these other Jews the same as most Arabs.....FOREIGNERS. It wasn't the fact that they were Jewish, in the begining for the Arabs, so much as the fact that they were foreigners.

Fast forward a few years and Christians so easily forget, so easily shake a finger at Arabs who have dealt with the people that Christians tried to exterminate, that Christians refused to accept into their lands.

Maybe the guilt of all that is why we support Israel so steadfastly.

At some point, more Christians will see the other side. The Jews certainly got a raw deal from everyone. But also, the Arabs got a raw deal and they are the ones still stuck with it. It is no great mystery why this conflict is so great.

Yes Willow, please tell us about Bosnia in WWII and the formation of Israel.

Yes Willow, God keeps score. If you keep naming all the good things maybe God will forget about the Holocaust, the Inquisitions, the Crusades.

Honestly, you want to demonize Arabs and Muslims but you want to play "Hollier than thou" with the Christians.

You have no objectivity.

No one is clean in this. Not the Jews, not the Arabs, not the Christians. If you want to get down to some specifics maybe you will make sense but if you want to go on and on about Arabs and blame them all for the actions of some, it's fair to meet you with the same general tone.

If you're going to play that game, dropping some bombs doesn't even begin to negate the mass rape and the genocide perpetrated by other Christians in that conflict.

Incorrect recitation of history. Jewish immigration to Palestine started in 1880, nearly 70 years prior to the reestablishment of Israel, which had existed thousands of years earlier in antiquity. In 1922, a quarter-century before the reestablishment of Israel, The League of Nations' 51 members unanimously ratified the Palestine Mandate, a legally binding document recognizing Palestine as the ancestral home of the Jews and calling for the establishment of a Jewish National Home in Palestine. The Palestine Mandate was vociferously supported by Winston Churchill, US Pres. Woodrow Wilson, later, Pres. Harry Truman, and both Houses of the US Congress, which issued a proclamation acknowledging the historical ties between Palestine and Jews. Israel was given final international recognition by the UN with UN Res. 181. Israel, in fact, is the only state in the world whose international legitimacy is recognized by both the League of Nations and the UN.

Sure, as long as Jews subjected themselves to dhimmitude.

That succinctly sums up what happened as a result of WWII, but it all goes back a bit further. Britain promised the land to both the Palestinians for the war fought to overthrow the Byzantine empire, and to the Jews. The Balfour Declaration left the Palestinians high and dry. Dry is an interesting (some would say side story, but it has too much to do with everything to ignore) aspect of this as well:

Umm... what world are you living in? Sorry, but mass rape was not perpetrated by Bosniaks, nor did killings even begin to approach the severity or extent of those committed by Serbs. There is no equivalence between the actions of each side and your attempt to make it appear otherwise is lamely disingenuous. Please do research into the conflict before spouting BS.
