    (and get the full truth)

again ted olson would have been a far better choice... he'd have the balls to tell the president or anyone else they were wrong and he has the passion to defend this nation from terrorism (his wife was a victim of 9/11, the man would die himself before he let a terror attack happen in this nation)

instead we're getting a shitty lawyer and yes man who gave serious bad advice to the military and the president. not a good AG at all.

Nato, I dont see this as anything other than the attack machine of the left. They tried to destroy Ashcroft. They would try to destroy Olsen if Bush chose him. They are incredibly threatened by Gonzales because he is hispanic and they think if Republicans are responsible for putting minorities in these high level positions minorities will begin to ask them what Democrats are really doing for them. This is a purely racist thing.

He is Pro-Choice and therefore not a "strict constitutionalist" that Bush said he would put up for the SCOTUS. Therefore they throw him this bone and keep the SCOTUS open for more Conservative Judges.

The nomination of Gonzales for AG seems like a pretty poor choice. These app'ts seem to rarely go to the better qualified person, but to someone owed a political or some other type of favor. Its a good thing that he has to go thru a approval process. I suppose he will be appointed if for no other reason than to give the appearance of cooperation in Congress.

Im sorry but I dont know anything about Ted Olson, the guy you suggest for the position.
