The saudi people and the Vimto truck

a Vimto truck turned over and all of the Vimto boxes dropped on the side of the road. the poor saudi people and some non-saudis pulled over and started taking some boxes because simply the vimto boxes were for free.
i was shocked when i saw the video. are they so hungry and thirsty to do something like that?

Vimto is a purple soft drink originating from the United Kingdom. It was first manufactured as a squash, but later a carbonated drink version was put on sale to attract a new market. It contains the juice of grapes, raspberries and blackcurrants (in a 3% concentration), flavored with herbs and spices. Vimto has also been made into a sweet (candy) and an ice lolly (ice pop). It is available both as a 'packaged good' - i.e., in cans and bottles via retail outlets - or as a dispensed soft drink -
