The Saints of Islam

The saints of Islam fly in the air, walk on water, visit the heavens as they like, say "be" to a thing and it is. They come on earth at each century after Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his Companions (may God be well pleased with them) until the end of time. Rabia Al Adawiya, who is a woman, is one of those saints of Islam.

She once told Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) that there is no human being who knows Muhammad without loving him greatly.

Rubbish! I have never heard of anyone except Jesus walking on water, and I don't even believe that.

As for everyone who knew Muhammad loving him, you must have missed sura 111 in which Muhammad condemns his own aunt and uncle to hell because they did not believe in him.

Dajjal, why do you feel that you must attack everything that Muslim75 posts?

I am a critic of Islam and the Quran. Its what I do. If you post rubbish about Islamic saints I will criticize that too.

Christianity is fond of sainthood. That is normal, religion is for acquiring saintliness. reading a holy book must make one holy, a saint. Pope John Paul II was canonized on account of a miracle of a woman who woke up from a coma after hearing his name. It sounds un believable, but it is true. I say that it makes more sense if that woman was considered a saint, and not Pope John Paul II. In any case, that woman alos is not saint.

You find saints in Islam, because Islam is a true religion. Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) was sent as the last prophet, 14 centuries ago. 14 centuries ago, that's close to the end of times. There would be no prophet after Muhammad, so saints were raised after him, century after century, saints of Islam. Thanks to these saints, people have the means to re-unite with their Creator who created them and loves them. No other religion fulfils that purpose, but that is the sole purpose of a religion. There are 124 000 saints of Islam, and they shall come at each century, after Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and His Companions (may Allah be well pleased with them) until the end of times.

These saints, out of their closeness to God Almighty and His beloved (peace be upon him and his family), out of holiness would fly in the air, walk on water, talk with God, see God, do various miracles. They are intimates of God Almighty and intimates of the beloved of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). These are Wikipedia links pertaining to some saints of Islam, may God have mercy on them.

Quite Sufi of you.

The veneration of saints is an issue of heavy debate within Islamic discourse. It is more of a traditionally mystical / Sufi practice that has bled over to other populations.

It's not veneration of saints. Veneration would be the Christians' approach of Jesus.

It's blessing. Islam stipulates that one who is very much loved of God has the power to bless you. So Muslims go to them seeking blessings.

This matter is not subject to heavy debating, but normal debating only. Indeed, both sides completely reject each other.

The saints of Islam fly in the air, walk on water, go visit the heavens as they like, say "be" to anything and it will be. Since Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) came on earth as the last prophet, and there is no prophet after him; God sent the saints of Islam to come on earth at each century, and so it shall be until the end of time.

Abu Sulayman Darani (may God have mercy on him) was a saint of Islam. He spent one night with Rabia, a saint of Islam who is a woman (may God have mercy on her). Rabia was praying in her prayer room and Abu Sulayman Darani prayed there also. At dawn he asked Rabia about how to express gratefulness for this night of prayer God enabled them to make. Rabia suggested that he should fast on this day rising.

Another woman saint of Islam (may God have mercy on her) had a dream in which she saw the dwellers of Paradise standing at the door of it. She was told they are there in honor of Shaona, a woman saint of Islam (may God have mercy on her) whom they wish to receive as she was coming. Then she saw Shaona, called her "O my sister" and asked her for advice. Shaona indicated that she should fix sorrow to her heart, and place ove of God above everything, and if she does that then nothing will harm her at the time of her death. (In Islam, sorrow and bad happenings are things through which God tests His servants whom He loves. If the servant is steadfast, God increases them; if he falls into despair God relaxes his situation. The goal is to keep him hating this worldly life and loving God, because if he starts to love this worldly life, then his love of God in his heart must necessarily decrease.)

Uzra (may God have mercy on her) was another woman saint of Islam. She would spent the whole night with her eyes closed but not sleeping. At dawn, she would supplicate God loudly asking, let's say, that God include her among the elite of His servants and that He rewards her with the greatest of His rewards.

No one cares that you think that people can fly in the air and walk on water.

Catholics are fond of idol worship as well. Just walk into the Vatican and it is a treasure trove of pagan gods.

Then walk further and you will see Popes under glass, as if idols themselves.

No wonder Muslims are drawn to this type of idol worship.

Muslims would go into orgasmic convulsions if they had Mo under glass.

Ibrahim Adham was a great saint of Islam, may God have mercy on him. He once found a rock on the ground. It was written on it, in Arabic, "turn me over, I will benefit you". He turned it over and found that it was written on it, more or less: "the things you learned, you are not acting out according to it; so why seeking to learn more ?"

One of those saints of Islam was Ma'ruf Karkhi. His father was Christian. However Ma'ruf was Muslim and a saint of Islam. When he died, the Christians and the Muslims were fighting over him, each claiming that he was one of theirs. Then one follower of Ma'ruf said that Ma'ruf once said that the group who would be able to lift up his dead body was the group to whom he belonged. The Christians tried and tried, but they could not lift up his body. Then the Muslims came forward. They lifted it up easily and placed it in his grave.

Does it matter? Muslims are above engaging in conversation. Oh they will post the heck from their book and we are suppose to read it but if we post anything from it is beneath a Muslim to reply to us. Arrogance, vanity, pride, shall I continue?
