The panic that sent hundreds of illegal immigrants fleeing from their homes, jobs and schools in recent weeks may have been set into motion on March 23, when a developer and contractor surveyed their sprawling construction site from a white helicopter with green stripes -- the same colors as U.S. Border Patrol helicopters.
They told us, `If you are illegal, you better start running,' " said Oscar Cornejo, who supervises a small landscaping crew at the development. "They were kind of panicked, running everywhere."

What is a roach's scatter? Don't confuse the plural form of a noun with the possessive form of a noun. Just playing the part of a nit-picky grammarian.
