Democrats keep saying "the rich need to pay their fair share," while refusing to acknowledge the need to cut spending.

You say that the problem will be solved if the rich chipped in a little more. What we're trying to say is that no matter how high taxes are, they will do absolutely nothing to support the preposterous spending of the government.

We're not accusing you of wanting to raise taxes to 100% (although some of you come close to that), what we're saying is that raising taxes at all is pointless.

Then they discovered capitalism and embraced it and they are now a freer society than ours. No, it would not. I've actually read the federal revenue statements.

The government takes in just enough money each year to pay for non-discretionary spending (Medicare, Social Security, interest on the debt, etc). There is just a tiny, tiny bit left over.

So if that was all we had to spend on, we would have a balanced budget. But as soon as we start paying for Defense and highways and whatnot, we go in the red.

We have a little over a trillion dollars a year in deficit spending.

We have about a trillion dollars a year in tax expenditures. A happy coincidence.

If we eliminated all tax expenditures, we would barely have to make any spending cuts at all. But that would mean all of our taxes would go up considerably.

So where can we make real cuts?

Simple. I outlined them above. Raise the retirement age by 5 years. That's 5 years longer you pay into the system, and five years less you draw out. We are living longer, we should be working longer.

Reduce defense spending back to where it was before the two wars. There simply is no excuse to continue a war spending level when we are not at war.

As someone who spends most of your time on the couch eating bon-bons and watching MSNBC, maybe you could answer the question of why your Messiah® twice renewed the Bush tax cuts? If they are bad, why did Obama, who is sanctified and perfect, renew them? No doubt Rachel Maddow has explained this to you of the mindless flock?

Do liberals ever stop to think about just how utterly meaningless this tax debate is while the dollar and government debt bubbles are propping up the inevitable crash of the economy?

2008 was just the beginning, people. There's no such thing as a bailout from a bubble, there are only delay tactics and more time to make things even worse.

The result of massive borrowing, spending, and printing of money is going to destroy a lot of wealth in this country in the not-so-distant future. Denial will destroy a lot of people, and the only silver lining is that almost 100% of liberals have their heads so far up their asses that they won't even see it coming.
