The Republican right wing and their "love" of "hate". Is it a winning strategy?

if the GOP is supposedly more fiscally responsible why then, when the GOP has been in control in the past 30 years have we never had anywhere near a balanced budget?

You assert, you provide.
Link please.
GOP or DEM president does not mean GOP or Dem control. You forgot our House of Reps and the Senate.

Who was president the last time the budget was balanced?

– The U.S. government suffered budget deficits every year from 1970 through 1997.
– Democrat Bill Clinton was president in 1998, when the government finally recorded a surplus.
– There also were budget surpluses in 1999, 2000 and in 2001. 2001 was the last year the Clinton administration proposed the budget.
– Republican George W. Bush succeeded Clinton in 2001. The United States had a budget deficit in 2002, and it has recorded budget deficits every year since. The deficit is projected to increase substantially this year under President Barack Obama.
– Republicans say they should get at least some of the credit for the balanced budgets during the Clinton administration, because Republican majorities controlled both the House and Senate.

you can give the GOP partial credit for the Clinton budgets, but the last time a GOP controlled White House had a balanced budget was Eisenhower.

Now YOU are moving the goal posts. You didn't specify president in your original post. Which is why I told you to pay attention.

CONZ don't run on their ideas. Their ideas are proven failures.

Tax cuts to the rich "trickle down" to the rest of us.
Deregulation of Wall Street.

Which, of course, is why we are constantly talking about limited government, personal responsibility, spending cuts, immigration enforcement/reform, lower taxes and getting government out of our way all the time.

Nope. We never run or talk about ideas.

Cool... one of the 94% of rdean's repetitive posts. Always entertaining.

Hey California Maiden,

I'm seeing a pattern here; I want so bad to respond to rdean's mindless rhetoric, but its true, as I have been warned, a repetitive mindless babble of pap rather than something new and coherent--is this correct? If so, it's a shame as some of the crap is typical screaming flaming left wing gibberish and hate talk against the right thinking minds of reason. I am learning quickly.

Oh well, as you point out, it's somewhat entertaining.....

And this right wing Genghis Khan loving republican will be leaving tonight for the storm zone, they're now getting snow, for rescue and help work. I'm going to bring my MacBook Air and post from remote and try and get some photos that are not standard on the news sites.

Be well,

Robert

Clinton's ahh mmmmmmmm balanced budget was only a result of a republican lead congress that held hi s feet to the fire.

Good deflection,as nether party does very well at all, certainly the Dems know how to spend more mony then is in existence quick glance at their record isn't anything to brag about.

so you are in agreement that the party in control of congress actually holds more power than the part in control of the presidency?

[You learn to love the left very quickly. The bp for their hatred and intolerance is unusually low, quickly reached, often over the top and highly abundant. One consolation, the Obamessiah is not likely to be awarded these states mentioned electoral votes. Example]

"Liberal Radio Host Mocks Tornado Victims Because They Live In The Bible Belt: “Their God Keeps Smashing Them Into Little Grease Spots”…

Behold, the “progressive” and “forward” thinking left.

“Their God … keeps smashing them into little grease spots on the pavement in Alabama, and Mississippi, and Arkansas, and Georgia, and Oklahoma. You know, the Bible belt, where they ain’t gonna let no goddamned science get in the way,"

The problem with attacking Democrats as a "defense" is easily offset by right wing cruelty.

Eric Cantor's 'callous' disaster-aid refusal
The House majority leader says any relief money should be offset by spending cuts. Is he right — or is it cruel to talk accounting as a storm crashes in?

Worse, are the Republicans who use "Gawd" to further their strange religious agenda:

Katrina: God's Judgment on America
The hurricane was an act of God upon a sin-loving and rebellious nation. It's a warning--and a call to repent.

And then there was the 34th Annual gay, lesbian and transgender "Southern Decadence" Labor Day gala to be held from August 31st to September 5th. Welcomed by the last three mayors and City Council, this socially and politically acceptable flaunting of depravit--that has grown each year--was expected to draw 100,000 visitors and millions of dollars to the New Orleans business community and local government. But what is a little sodomy and immorality if it brings in money to the temple and gives everyone a little fun?

Katrina: God's Judgment on America - Beliefnet.com

Senator Hank Erwin Katrina is Punishment from God Video

But I think one thing you need to suggest if this is a Bible believing country is that maybe God did use that to send a message not only to the folks on the coast: turn around, get right with the Lord, come back to church.

Referring to 9/11 and claiming that God lifted his "veil of protection". In essence, 9/11 was the fault of these people:

"I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"

9/11 Attacks: God's Punishment on Americans? Brunson, Falwell, Graham-Lotz Say So

-----------------------------------------------------

It's these types of attacks against Americans that liberal radio host was mocking. Not the victims. It certainly was in poor taste, but to use these tragedies to attack entire groups of Americans is dangerous and threatening.

What you are doing is deflecting. And your deflection, considering the history of the "let him die" right, is a major "FAIL!".

Next!

Can you believe it? Not a single Republicans could come up with any plan. Just name calling. That's all they have. Names.

Gays

"Contraception and education".

They've already told us government can't make jobs.

Health care is bad unless there is a huge profit.

American helping American is socialism.

Why should we vote these people into office? Not even they can name some achievement or something positive they've done for the country in the last 30 years.

Instead of name calling, please explain the positives for voting Republicans into office. And I don't mean "make better", but real proposals.

It has always worked and it continues to work now. Reason - when times are tough, we look for reasons, for something to blame and it doesn't matter if its completely misplaced and wrong.

Mexican illegals are an excellent example. We all know that they don't take jobs away from Americans, they help keep grocery store prices down, they don't do us any real harm (unless you count marijuana) and for Pete's sake, we used to use airplanes to ferry them back and forth.

They are our latest whipping boys, our new Negro, if you will and the pubs/bags LOVE hating them. We have three long stretches of unguarded border and we've seen terrorists get in or try to get in, we get most of our "hard" drugs through those borders but where do we want to spend the Big Bucks? We want to "seal the border" and stop those vicious, killer lettuce pickers.

It works because it takes attention away from the utter uselessness of the entire damn Republican party.

Once again, I invite all you rabid rw's to post a link to a list of GObP/Repub accomplishments and once again, it will be ignored because they have done NOTHING. Not a fucking thing.

PROVE ME WRONG.

Prove that crap like hating blacks, Hispanics, women, gays - PROVE that its not a smoke screen designed to get you all lathered up over NOTHING so you forget they have not produced even one job.

You can't so you may as well staple some more tea bags to your foil lined beanies and get back to HATING.

Wait, you were expecting us to come up with a plan? Why on earth would you think you merit one when you cant even bother to go read a candidates website?

Have you? Which plan did you like the best? What were the best parts?

Best wishes, I await your reply here.
