For live critique of the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL

Huckabee just did a good job. I thought he was gonna come with more nonsense defending Akin, but he behaved himself.

I'm watching it on msnbc, maybe will see how Current TV is handling it.

Here we go again...more 911 Porn from Leeza.

I never realized how annoying Conday's cacence is. She speaks as if she's either taking a chit, holding a chit, or squeezing something between her buttocks cheeks.

Sup wit dat?

Let me make sure I understand this.

Here is a black, lesbian standing in front of the Republican Party and America saying we should vote for a party that is 90% white which has indulged in "voter suppression" targeting other black people and their American and constitutional right to vote and the Republican leader she is promoting has insulted the entire membership of the NAACP "in person".

Then, she makes this quote, "You can come from humble circumstances and do great things" which completely describes President Obama but NOT Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan or George Bush who were all born into wealth and privileged".

And now she is talking about failing schools whose budgets, the Republican leadership has slashed across the nation.

And she is still going. Hopefully, no one there throws her nuts as she walk off the stage.

I don't think Ryan came from privilege though.

His pops died when he was young. Well, that's about all I know of his youth, not sure if he's a silver spooner or not.

Oh that's ingenius, so far three birds with one stone.
Female, Hispanic and gun-owner/lover.
Not to mention a nice "pull-yourself-up-by-your-own-bootstraps" story.

WoW! A Grand slam.

"I'll be damned...we're Republicans!"

What a line!

:clap2:

OK, let's see what little Eddie Munster has to say for himself now.

Liberals care about skin pigmentation and sexual orientation way too much.

At leas little Eddie Munster started off the speech calling Mitt Romney's name.

He just alluded to the COLOSSAL mess Bush left us with, that's good.

Britney Spears turned down the "surprise" speaker slot, or the GOP would be in hog heaven.

Then, while Condi was talking, the cameras seem to zero in on all three black people sitting in the audience, one of which, I'm sure was her mother. I thought she was bizarre and out of touch when she said "George Bush has uncommonly good judgement", but this?

Then, this Susana Martinez came out and talked. With blonde highlights.

Speaking of blonde highlights:

Antonio Darden has staged the kind of protest only a man with scissors can.
“The governor's aides called not too long ago, wanting another appointment to come in,” he told KOB-TV. "Because of her stances and her views on this, I told her aides no. They called the next day, asking if I'd changed my mind about taking the governor in, and I said no again.”

Darden, who runs Antonio's Hair Studio in Santa Fe, has been with his partner for 15 years.

“I think it's just equality, dignity for everyone,” he told the TV station. “I think everybody should be allowed the right to be together.”

“This is not a news story. This is another smear hit on Gov. Martinez,” one commenter said.

“It's not a smear on the gov,” retorted another, “but she will be having a lot of bad hair days.”

I just think it's hilarious she goes to a gay hairdresser and is anti gay. I wouldn't want to be sitting in a chair getting serviced by someone with sharp objects who I publicly felt didn't deserve the same rights as me.

That has GOT to be the joke of the decade.

*wipes tears from my good eye*

Ryan...when have Republicans ever taken responsibility for nearly driving the country over a the cliff?

It's been awhile, but from what I read, Paul Ryan's family business started in 1884 (yes, that's 1800's). In the 1990's, they received many millions of dollars in government contracts. I think it was like 20 or 22 government contracts or something.

I also heard he owns ownership stakes in at least four companies that lease land to oil companies. Which is probably why he supports subsidies for oil companies.

As far as I know, his only jobs before being elected to congress was in the family business. He graduated from college owing nothing. Partly because he received Social Security survivors benefits from the government.

Now, I could go look everything up just to make sure, but why bother? I think that's pretty close to the truth.

Where was Ryan's economic responsibility and his fervor for it under Bush?
He rubber stamped every. single. Bush. money-wasting boondongles.

Liberals "care". Republicans "target" both. Big difference.
