The Republican Collapse

Sure, your humor is evident.

"Zealot? Go fuck yourself."

You're a funny guy.

Though I like "assured doom" as well.
you mistake "being amused" and "being amusing". I am amused... by YOU. I never tried to be amusing. I was just laughing at your dumb ass. go fuck yourself. you silly bitch.

It's never concerned with the national interest, well that is to say that capitalists and corporationists aren't concerned with the national interest, they have to be made to be concerned with the national interest by regulation.

That is incorrect. Capitalism and national interest are not mutually exclusive. Capitalism can, and has policed itself in the past.

Government dictating to the private sector is bullshit. A government like tht is designed to support people who believe they are entitled to be carried along from cradle to grave.

Perhaps the existence of an automaton is cool with you. It isn't with me.

The trouble is the best working systems today are located in Europe, I am thinking especially of Denmark a place you would call socialist. It seems a balance is required and unfettered capitalism is as bad any other system.

"If you believe the conservative rhetoric on economics, this combination of high taxes, a large public sector, and lavish welfare benefits ought to be killing the Danish economy. But it's not. In fact, Denmark's economy has thrived. And nowhere is that more apparent than in the job market. By the time Rasmussen left office in 2001, the unemployment rate had fallen from a 1994 peak of 9.6 percent to 4.3 percent; in 2002, it fell below the U.S. rate, where it has remained ever since. For the most recent quarter of 2006, Denmark's standardized unemployment rate was 3.6 percent, compared with 4.7 percent in the United States. Moreover, while Europe has a reputation for fostering cadres of idle youth (a reputation that, in countries like France, has at least some basis in reality), in Denmark, a mere 3 percent of its 15- to 19-year-olds are neither in school nor working--the second-best rate in the developed world. (Tiny Luxembourg is first.) In the United States, by comparison, the figure is about 7 percent."

You mean the best working SOCIALIST systems today are located in Europe. I have no problem with anyone who embraces their philosophy getting on a plane and heading right over.

I DO have a problem with people who want to turn THIS nation into their private little socialist utopia.

Socialist is a word, it means nothing out of context. Society exists for people, the fantasy righties engage in is a sort of blind social darwinism. We're all in this together but it is a shame many do not realize that.
