Taxes reach historic low - News - The Orange County Register

How much low can we go fucktards?

Rep. Paul Ryan's budget proposal has been praised by Republican leaders as well as the Tax Foundation. Ryan, R-Wis., wants sweeping cuts for Medicare and Medicaid and a reduction of taxes on corporations and the wealthiest Americans from 35 percent to 25 percent. The plan would also cut spending on education, food stamps and low-income housing.

Obama criticized many parts of this plan last week, saying he wants to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans. Many experts agree that Ryan's plan won't solve the problem.

“There is no obvious end in sight for running these trillion-dollar deficits, even with Ryan's proposal, which has been called Draconian,” said the Tax Policy Center's Williams, who noted similarities between Ryan's plan and Tea Party philosophy. “The Tea Party view that we cut spending, cut spending, cut spending and reduce taxes a little bit – that's a minority view of how we're going to reduce the deficit. I happen to believe we're going to see both spending cuts and increased taxes

We need to raise taxes at some point Teabastards, like it or not, or else fall into further debt and bigger deficits.

I agree, taxes need to be raised, thats why you idol Obama should have let the Bush tax cuts expire instead of trying to not play the bad guy. Those Bush tax cuts are part of what got us into this mess so why continue them? The most realistic approach is budget cuts mixed with tax increases, the Republitards are dishonest to the point of absurdity if they believe that an approach of budget cuts, tax cuts for the rich and no tax increases will balance the budget and reduce the deficit.

You're absolutely right! He should have allowed unemployment payments to lapse so that the taxes could have risen. Cutting a deal with the GOP was a wrongheaded thing to do. I think the economy would have gotten a bigger benefit from letting the Bush tax cuts lapse than it did with the unemployment extension.

It was a short term triumph that will lead to long term failure, he shouldn't have let the Republitards play chicken and win.

Raising taxes to spread the wealth, which is what obamaturd wants to do, is a socialist idea. After two years of the idiot dimwits in charge did nothing but spend, now he wants to raise taxes. Somebody needs to fire his sorry but.

Listen monkeytard, a tax raise is inevitable, cutting every damn social program will *NOT* balance the budget, Ronald Reagan learned the hard way when he had to raise taxes, be damn realistic.
