And they didn't have much to begin with.

Mike Brown tried to kill a cop and instead got himself killed. The Gardner guy's death may have had the only shred of legitimacy these protests had, but even that was thin. His poor health combined with his resisting arrest led to his death. Now, a thug tries to kill a cop and gets himself killed and almost immediately there are protests.

This effectively erases any legitimacy the protests ever had. It shows beyond any reasonable doubt that they are only protesting to cause trouble, or to lash out. All three people who died were committing crimes, or had just committed a crime, not counting the crime of trying to kill a cop.

I am not claiming that they don't have a right to protest. This is America the Almost Kinda Sorta Free, so they have that right, but their protests are shown to be for reasons other than justice, or fairness.

Protest away, nobody cares now. You have shown your ass and you deserve nothing but scorn.

We have moved into the era of the permanent protest. The protests have been so destructive and met with such little resistence that joining a protest is just a way to get something for nothing. It's become about enjoying the violence and what can be obtained by looting.

The protests had so very little legitimacy to begin with. It has always been about looting, rioting, and lawlessness. This recent incident only proves it beyond any doubt.

My point is that there was very little of the legitimate protest to begin with. Even before this the protests over Briwn's death had no legitimacy due to the cold hard facts that came to light in the Grand Jury. Not all of the protesters who protested this recent episode were violent but the guy tried to shoot a cop so there isn't anything to protest at all. Even the majority peaceful protesters have no actual reason to be out there anymore.
