I have been a faithful watcher of the cable show "Ray Donovan." Tonight's season finale appeared to end the show with the title character's suicide (oops, spoiler alert), but I understand they announced a few days ago that was renewed for another season. Well, no harm done.
I watch some of the crawler at the end of the show, and I swear to god, they have at least 30 people named as some sort of "Producer" of the show. Producer, executive producer, associate producer, assistant producer...blah, blah, blah. And of course the Star is also listed as a Producer.
It is my understanding that anyone who provides or helps to provide anything used in the show might be named as a producer, and that when a show is considered "good" a whole army of people want to be associated with it.
But do these tools realize that this producer mania gives credence to the general belief in Flyover Country that they are all a bunch of worthless, self - promoting twits?
