Carrier. Overall, the gop and the econ is good. But, he actually saved only a fraction of the jobs, and even then to do it, he got Indiana to sign an even worse deal than Carrier would initially have agreed to. Tarffs; For fock sake that was dem idea back in the 70s. But, wtf, it’s a nice photo op, and it sends the message that the gummit is going to be biz friendly. And it is, Ryan and McConnell have been for altering taxes for years. But it’s got to be about Trump, rather than conservative economic policy.
He’s cancelling Boeing AF-1 Contract. Well not really. There’s no actual contract for construction yet. And yes, the next AF-1s will be on the latest 747 airframe. But, why should the taxpayer pay the full cost of what it costs Boeing? They get prestige everytime a potus flies overseas, and the thing lands, and his little tank drops down out of the ramp.
We’re going to have on trillion in infrastructure .... well, no. But, my state will probably add 250 miles of needed interstate to a port where we ship exports out of. That’s actually a big deal to us ... but Trump needs more panache.
He’s meeting with Duarte who made nice with China after they moved in the S. China Sea. We’ll see. Trump’s said we aren’t giving these guys free protection.
