Yeah, hear alot of crap about Liberal cities, so just wondering if any Liberal City's have sold their state building to stay afloat for one year, as the Rights Prize, Arizona has done? Seems Arizona was doing pretty good until they started violating US citizen rights by profiling Mexicans without warrants. I mean, you can cut spending and be fiscal, but sell off the state capitol building? LMAO!!!

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCES $735 MILLION SALE-LEASEBACK TRANSACTION
The Director of the Department of Administration, on behalf of the State, moved forward yesterday with the successful sale of its Series 201 OA Certificates of Participation in association with the sale and lease-back of State assets.

As a result of the sale of the Certificates, the State will receive approximately $7354 million of proceeds for deposit to the State’s General Fund,. This financing approach will help offset the projected shortfall in the General Fund and address cash flow needs for the current fiscal year.

The sale and lease-back of State assets was authorized by the Legislature and approved by the Governor as part of the budget solutions enacted for fiscal year 2009-10. Under this approach, key State assets are nominally sold to a bank trustee and simultaneously leased back to the State for the approximate 20-year term of the financing .

Should we stop enforcing a law if it becomes such that is it committed primarily by one demographic group? 90%+ of child porn crooks are middle age white males. Thats why cops profile them for that crime. Should we stop doing it?


So I suppose a law can only be enforced if it's violators descriptions are also an equal cross section of a diverse culture, right? No one group can be over-represented in the commission of the crime, else it would be insensitive to enforce it?

The whacko liberal Charleston (SC) County School District has a building nicknamed the "Taj Maha" in historic downtown Charleston. Massive, beautiful building to house all those gov't beaurocrats. The CCSD is broke, and their government run schools are among the state and nation's worst.

That building, however, the "Taj Maha", could easily sell to a corporate taker for tens of millions of dollars.

But the CCSD refuses to sell. They don't wanna move out into an industrial area where it's cheaper. God forbid the gov't kings work in anything less than royalty as the schools crumble around them.

AND......the county just passed a TAX INCREASE for all residents of Charleston County to........YEP....make ends meet at the school district.

Charleston, BTW, is still governed by Democrat Joe Riley......who if wins, will be in his 40th year of running Charleston, a city that is the most underachieving in the state, a chronic money wasting city, high crime. Liberalism in the government has badly hurt this once great historic city of the South.

But the school board and their "Taj Maha" is legendary.
