It's not hard to figure out the difference.

Clinton: Building on the Obama legacy

She wants the United States to be the “clean energy superpower of the 21st century.”

Trump: Drill, baby, drill

If climate change is a hoax, it will come as no surprise that Mr. Trump will not support efforts to mitigate carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions.

The story with lots and lots of 'splainin' @ The presidential candidates’ views on energy and climate

Hillary preaches to cattle and since they need to be fed, they have to believe here just like they did the previous idiot

Building on the Obama Legacy? He didn't build jackshit. There ARE no current alternatives for electrical generation other than the ones we GOT and a small role for solar as a daytime peaker source..

And there ain't no future in ADDITIONAL manufacturing of PV solar in America.
Unless the Chinese build a factory HERE to reduce their shipping costs. And they aint' about to deal
with the regulation and oversight.

You can repeat "clean energy" a Trillion times and not get a additional Watt on the grid..

Lift the regulations that PREVENT fossil plants from doing incremental upgrades and watch the CURRENT sources -- get cleaner..

U.S. Solar Manufacturing Rising on the Horizon

Looks like the US manufacturing is in for a big increase. And, as the price comes down, and the efficiency of the individual panels goes up, we will see the manufacturing rapidly increase here in the US. At some point, it will be obvious to people owning large building with big roof areas that they have the opportunity to increase their income by paving them with solar panels, and the price of power will come down as much of the power used in cities will be generated there,.

Solar Power’s Stunning Growth: U.S. Generation up 100 Percent This Year

The performance of the PV plants backed by the Obama administration should give investors confidence that production targets can be met. Take the case of California Valley Solar Ranch, owned by NRG Energy and built using SunPower technology. On the broad, sunny Carrizo Plain in inland San Luis Obispo County, the 250-MW plant was expected to produce 662,000 MWh of electricity annually, on average, for buyer Pacific Gas & Electric. In fact, in its first full year of operation – the 12-month period through September 2014 – it generated 697,759 MWh, according to EIA data.

California Valley Solar Ranch cost $1.6 billion to build, with $1.2 billion coming through the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2009 stimulus-enhanced guaranteed loan program. But that same plant today would certainly be less expensive, perhaps dramatically less expensive. For example, a nearly identical plant proposed to be built about 100 miles north of California Valley Solar Ranch – it would be 247 MW in size and produce 666,000 MWh annually, according to a power purchase agreement [PDF] with Southern California Edison – willreportedly cost $600 million.

Fuck the fossil fuel plants. We don't need to destroy the future. We can create the power we need in a clean and responsible manner, at a cost that is actually less than that of the fossil fuels.
