Let the world believe that WMD's, AK-47's and such are the most powerful of weapons, Christians know something they do not. We have a greater weapon at our disposal and it is available to every man, woman and child on earth. That weapon is prayer. As the storm clouds gather and war looms on the horizon, Americans and Europeans need to recall how WWII was won.

While it is true that the victory was realized through battle, the victory for that battle was attained through prayer. During WII, Rees Howells, a powerful intercessor, prayed for Hitler's defeat. Many believe that Rees Howells prayers demolished the plans of Hitler and the Nazi's.

Rees Howells believed God and his heart became heaven's wailing wall of prayer. This must be the posture of every Christian believer throughout the earth today.

There are many who do not believe in God and find it foolishness to spend time praying. They lack the spiritual sight to see the benefits of prayer. The first thought that comes to their mind when they hear the word fight or war, is violence. There is a different kind of violence that the children of God know about. The word of God tells us:

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Matthew 11:12

What is that scripture speaking about? Prayer.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:12

There are many types of prayer. Prayers of thanksgiving, prayers of petition, prayers for healing, deliverance and prayers that take authority over the enemy and defeat him on the grounds of Calvary. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ. There is power in the Blood of Jesus Christ.

The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man (or woman) availeth much. (James 5:16)

If the prayers of Christian men and women were not powerful, communists would not exude such effort in hunting down and arresting Christians. They would not be so vigilant in stopping prayer meetings, the spread of the King James Bible in their lands and churches being birthed.

If the prayers of God fearing men and women were not powerful, Samson would not have killed more in his death than in his life, Esther would not have seen the deliverance of her own people and Abraham would not have been given the opportunity to intercede for the lives of people dwelling in Sodom and Gomorrah.

Prayer is the power of God realized on earth. Prayer is the weapon that prevails over everything else because the God that Christians serve is mighty to save. He will hear from heaven on the condition that we have repented, returned to Him and believe Him for the answers we need. We have seen God answer mightily on behalf of the prayers of His people.

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Psalm 37:1,2

We need to return to the LORD, read the Word of God and keep it.

Our warfare is prayer and through Jesus Christ, the gates of hell shall not prevail against us. Pray, America! Our God is mighty to save! Jesus Christ is our answer.

Pray.

Pray away, but you won't stop inhumanity...Neither will those that you pray to, they created it in the first place....If you don't suffer, you have no need for them...

Prayer is a great placebo , I admit that. I mean when you really really really need god's help and pray, might as well throw dice or spin a roulette wheel, for that matter. It wont matter one bit, but it makes you feel like you did something.
