The Occupy Wall Street Movement is WORKING!!!

Here

Since the OWS movement has started, the conversation has shifted from the debt and deficit to JOBS and income inequality. Even the unctuous little twerp, Eric Cantor and the Budget Munster, Paul Ryan have been discussing income inequality. That can only be seen as a victory for the OWS movement.

Another victory for OWS comes from Bank of America who have decided NOT to charge people a ridiculous fee for using their debit cards.

Keep the pressure on!!!

:clap2:

BoA changed their minds due to OWES? Link?

Do you honestly believe it wasn't a factor? Really?

Yeah OWS has got people talking however they weren't responsible for BOA's change. I am glad people are still paying attention to the horrible bailouts/stimulus plans as a result of the OWS' protests.

BOA's change was due to bank of america's customers, like me, cancelling their accounts, other BOA customers threatening to do it, and BOA's competition deciding NOT to charge the accounts.

Capitalism is what got BOA to change its plans because they had to deal with their competition.

The link I posted indicates that BoA customers were behind BoA cancelling the fee, not OWES.

I agree with you here. In addition, they were probably paying attention to the Netfliks meltdown.

Yeah really... read your own citation... CONSUMER RAGE as the factor.

The OWS crowd's just a bunch of parasitic children who think they're owed something.

History teaches a pretty distinct lesson about income inequality. Over and over again. People simply won't stand for it for very long. This isn't the first time this has happened in this country.

Those who distort history are doomed to repeat it.
The bonus army was not an issue of income inequality. It was an issue of a poor economy brought on by gov't policies that extended the downturn.
Same here. I didnt see anyone occupying anything under Bush. Mainly because pizza delivery drivers were making 10/hr.
ANyone who thinks OWS is "having an effect" other than supplying reporters with stories, is delusional.

A very effective movement is at foot, the movement of money from savings and checking accounts from the banks too big to fail into local banks and credit unions. My income is directly deposited into a credit union and we have moved our money market savings there as well. We keep more than enough in a too big to fail bank simply because we travel and enjoy the access to their ATM's.

We will close our account at Chase today. I hope others do the same. Sending such a message to the Masters of the Universe can be very effective.

Hey man reporters have to pay bills to. Thees guys wont be remembered as the hero's that some of the protesters of the 60's were. Even Scot Olsen is being forgotten by Joe Public. I do think that OWS will be successful in getting new Myers in the city's they protested in, but they lack any message. At this point they are just grabbing shit from the paper and claiming victory for it.

Yes, an angry customer base that went out and protested.

Thank 'Occupy Wall Street' for Banks Backing Off Debit Card Fees

That's just plain delusional.... It was more like BoA was flooded with calls from angry customers... nobody in their right mind is going to go camp out in Zuccotti park to protest an increase in their banking fees.

That money movement was happening around the time of the bail outs, not ows.
